Robberies are very rampant nowadays, in fact, most towns are affected by these crimes. The thugs are getting braver, they can just go in and rob even in broad daylight. During my younger days, I stay in a town shophouse. Those days, shops are widely opened, anyone can go in and out without fear. But nowadays, things have changed. Shop owners are getting "paranoid" of the rampant robberies and most of the shops are locked from inside, it is like becoming prisoners in your own shop. During the day, they can watch out but at night, a ADT Home Security is needed.
I am still contemplating whether to get a home alarm for my own house or not. Most probably I will be installing one, at least we can sleep with a peace of mind. How wonderful the world is if there is no fear of going in and out of your own home, how wonderful it will be if we can be safe wherever we are. Now as it is, friends whom I know are considering installing an ADT Security in their own houses and shops. They said, "better safe or never" same as in "better late or never."

DON'T remind me!!!!!
we have a house alarm and it does give peace of mind, although when we first put it in, we had a few scary false alarms in the middle of the night! good luck.
Agreed.:( I am thinking of installing one too when I will move into my new house. :D
It is too bad isn't it that one has to install security alarms. However in today's world it becomes a necessity. Sad.
bean: will sure keep on pestering u to do.. i tot u promised to many years ago...
christine: yeah, a peaceful sleep is important ..
Tekkaus: remember to instal right up to the roof too :)
Cheryl: in your country too? i tot over here in my country only..
i have alarm, motion sensor, roller shutter and cameras installed. Call me kiasu and kiasi. Then hor, my friend said, if they wanna rob, they won't break into yr house, they'll just blatantly follow you when u drive yr car in. So how Claire ?
look right, look left, look behind.. look up and down.. oh gosh.. what a strange country we live in now, do u agree with me? we r like prisoners in our own homes.. now as it is, some even have guards guarding the main entrance to our neighbourhood.. isnt that like a prison? hahaha...
No place is safer, even within our house compound. It reminds me of a snatch thief incident, I was the victim last year. I still have the scars from the incident to remind me to be vigilant at all times.
reanaclaire,...get 2 pitbull - they're very fearsome guarddogs.of coz,not like the drunkard one in the picture,..hehe
oh dear Rose, sorry to hear about that.. hope the scar will vanish off soonest.. yes, i also been one of the victims before, many years ago, just snatched my purse from behind.. that was a frightening experience but thank God, no one was hurt.. i wonder when our world will be safe..
Ah Ngao: yes, tot of that.. but i have one already in the house...
