Our First Dinner At Uncle Pou Wok, Johor

By the time we reached Johor, it was almost dinner time!  We quickly unloaded all our stuff in the living hall and set out to fill our hungry tummies!  As my son drove, he showed me all the shops that serve food during the daytime... since they are working during the day, I need to know how to get food for my girl and I... both of us will be "stranded" if we do not know how to drive around the vicinity....  hahahaa...

Back to our dinner, we were taken to this shop here called Uncle Pou Wok!  What a cute name...
The crowd was already there when we reached....
Food here must be Good just by looking at the occupied tables....
Uncle Pou Wok... (Repair Kuali) or does it have a different meaning in Mandarin?
Most of the tables were fully occupied...
This noodles came within five minutes after we ordered...
We were wondering why the fast service....
Seems that this was not our order... but then too late... we already "emptied" it within minutes!
The noodles were very tasty...
Lots of lard and fragrant sambal to go with it!
Soon the steamed chicken followed suit...
Young "Siew Bak Choy"
And this is their signature dish....
Fish Soup with Yam and other varieties...

As usual, the camera gets to take everything in.....
Including us humans....
And when everything is already taken.... finally...................
Let's start!!

  2. Love the steamboat!!! I like!!! And the Hokkien mee too. The yellow colour of the steamed chicken - is that natural? Corn-fed chicken and hence this colour?

  4. Their steamed chicken and fish Steamboat are very good. However, I don't like their attitude in one of their outlets and never patronize since then.

  10. I not trying to say sibling love is not good but sometimes it may bring negative effect. By looking at the second photo, if people don't know your family, people may think that your daughter got BF already. Then she will lose a lot of opportunities ( I guess she not lack of opportunity). My ex-female colleague told me about this logic.

  11. The food is so delicious looking and that's my type of choices! I always enjoy looking at your kids in the photos. They appear like your siblings and friends instead which is very good! They get older but you get younger pula. Muahahaha

It is so hard to find happy families nowadays. Well done mama!
