Never Give Up Hope...

Jingle Bell story has to go on and on... though chances are slim of getting our doggie back, we still hang on to the hope that he is still around the neighbourhood....
Once again, we took a stroll around the houses and listen to his familiar barking.. anywhere....perhaps... somewhere out there...

we walked and walked....

we passed by this cute house
funny designs, unique...

a house for sale...if interested, enlarge the pic...

nice houses too..

normally no time to admire...
but while walking, we can do that....

Stingy Or Lazy?

TALKING OF SAVING MONEY, where it comes to meals for 4 persons (myself + 3 big teens), it is more economical to eat at home... normally one meal outside will cost RM50.00 averagely. If cook at home, then perhaps around 10-20RM.

But if one or two persons, then different story. One plate of chap farn (rice with 3 side dishes) cost around RM2.50-3.50...depends...so eating outside is cheaper for 1-3 persons.

(why m i suddenly so calculative? feeling the pinch of inflation, i guess.... )

Ok, let me illustrate an example of a meal for 4 persons...

4 big bowls of soup
ingredients: green vege, ikan bilis (anchoives) & fish

one bowl each...not more than that.. (lol...)

one dish of pototoes
& minced meat....

one dish of vegetables with clams...

followed by one plate of rice

That is all.... enough or not??? OF COURSE NOT! my Andy said "where got enough, mum... all vegetables... 2 dishes and one soup only ah?"

My reply was... "wanna eat or not? if not, less men more share...." quietly, quietly... all started to eat..and finished all...

Am i stingy? no la.. actually I am LAZY.... (lazy mama!!)

Save A Ringgit ...

These days times are bad.. we really got to save up for rainy days or for days when we do not have a job anymore. Heard of so many cases friends get laid off in their jobs and cutting pay is also on the rise. Instead of 5 days work and overtime, now it is reduced to 3 or 4 days work and NO overtime. How to make ends meet like tat????

A sign of bad times is seen right here in these pictures. Courtesy by Lynn again... thanks Lynn, I know we really need to be thrify, perhaps we come out less in the mornings? Or perhaps cut our lunch? Or perhaps do not buy any unnecessary accessories on our hair???

Can see her beautiful pin or not?
at first i didnt realise she was wearing on her hair..

a nearer vision... can see?
I told her I must take a pic of this...
that proves time is really bad...
save on whatever you can... hor..

The Day After Thaipusam

This morning as I drove Andy to work, we passed by DR Seenivasagam Park along Jalan St John. The previous night before was Thaipusam, from the pictures below, there must be lots of people and devotees carrying their kavadis to the temple nearby.....and I wonder where the rubbish dins were... They were not seen anywhere..

When I was returning, the municipal workers were busy tidying up the whole area... salute to them..by tomorrow, the place will be spic and span again.... hopefully next year, the municipal will supply more garbage dins here and there....

First Day To Work

Tomorrow or should I say today... is Thaipusam, it is a holiday for me but not for my son Andy. He will be starting work in an accounting firm tomorrow morning at 8am sharp. This is the first time he is working and I hope he can adapt to the office enviroment.....(ahhh...dont let me down...)

This is his temporary job...till he gets his results in a month or two......

At this moment he is still too excited to sleep...

AND SO AM I....gosh....

It is like taking him to school for the first time ....

Lost Plenty, Gain Many...

Looking back, Chinese New Year 2009 has indeed brought me much memories of the good and the not-so-good happenings... I lost plenty and gained many....

On CNY eve, as I was putting money into the red packets, I realized 120rm was missing....
For all I know, it was 600rm but what was left was 480rm..... haizzzz....

On the 4th day of CNY, we went to Kuala Lumpur... that was where I lost my favourite sandal... haizzzzzzz.....

On the 9th day of CNY, our pet, Jingle Bell went missing from our house... we were out and when we came back, he was missing... was he kidnapped or stolen, no one knows..... haizzzzzzzzzz......

On the 12th day of CNY, Perak lost Chief Minister, Mohamad Nizar... that is the latest loss....

So what did I gain?

Well, on the 14th day of CNY, I realized this gain.... the type of gain most ladies fear..
It is none other than putting on a few centimetres here and there on my body, what else...???

Anyway...despite the losses and the unwanted gain, I shall continue to be thankful and praise God whatever happens...
