A Tourist At Gardens By The Bay

IT IS ALWAYS DAYTIME when I visit Gardens By The Bay, I heard that the gardens are very beautiful at night.  One day I hope I will be able to go during the night....

After our tea time at Mylos, we walked to the gardens, it was a long walk but not tiring regardless.  The weather was good to us, thank God.  No matter how many times I have been there, I like to play tourist again, taking pictures here and there....
The very first sight when we were out from the Marina...
On this day, I realized my phone has a wide angle feature...
Thanks to the youngster who told me that....
After two years of holding it...
LOL...
From the top....
After that, I took a lot of wide angle pictures...

Not these two though...
A real tourist....
I like this picture...
And rest of me at the Gardens By The Bay!

Day Of Walking To The Tourist Sites Singapore

WALKING OFF THE CALORIES...

After our lunch, we took MRT to Bugis for some desserts.  From Bugis we set off  to Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and lastly Clark Quay.  Total steps taken for that day was more than 16000 steps!!  Wow... that was a great achievement for me... LOL... I never walked so much since my London trip.  But strangely this time, I did not feel as tired mainly because we made several stops to rest our weary legs... walk, eat and rest.... walk, eat and rest... and repeat... and total : 5 rounds of food!  LOL....

Taken in the morning as we set out from the hotel....
The hotel is along Penang Road....
Bugis Mall....
Collection of BearBrick....
Not cheap, I was told....
The big ones can cost up to few thousand SG...
Walking to dessert shop....
The shop signature dessert...
Pomelo Mango....
Not sure why I ended up ordering Herbal Black Pudding for myself...
Maybe I want to cool down my body....
Marina Bay Sands, the next destination....
Walked around quite a bit...
and soon it is time to have another round....
From the mall we walked to another local cafe....
Mylos Cafe... hidden gem...
Mylos's ice cream!
Expresso and Latte... for the coffee lovers...
Quiche... for myself!
After these, we adjourned to Gardens By The Bay...
More walking exercise!

Upper Cross Street Wanton Noodles In Singapore

THE FIRST MORNING... after taking some snacks from the hotel, we took a car ride to Bugis, a Grab ride actually... not sure how much it cost but for the three persons, I guess it was worth the ride.

It was almost 11am when we reached our destination, now come to think of it, I do not remember the place of this food court.  I was told that it sells the Best Wanton noodles!  Eventhough it was still not the peak hour, there was already a long queue.  Thanks to the youngsters, they could stand and queued for the food and I just have to sit and wait at the table.  LOL...
In front of the stall....
Too bad I did not catch the name....
The queue from behind the stall...
Would I do this in Ipoh?
I doubt... LOL...
Credit of queuing goes to the youngsters!
And after half an hour, the food were served....
Self service, of course...
Comes with crispy lard....
Fried chicken and wanton as side dishes....
The portion is just nice for me...
I finished my plate of noodles, no sharing for this...
LOL...
Just look at the lard!!
Lard is good cholesterol, right?  LOL...

Dinner At Le Shrimp Paragon, Singapore

AFTER SETTLING IN OUR HOTEL FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, it was time for our dinner.  From the hotel, we took a two stop bus to Orchard Road, Paragon... We walked quite a bit, I really did not mind... I love walking and it is good in a way cos it is time to get ready to fill in goodies in my tummy!  LOL...

Le Shrimp under Paradise group in Paragon..... upon entering the place, I could smell the sweet aroma of the soup and I couldn't wait to dig into the big bowl of noodles!

Generous with their soup....
Ramen with two shrimps besides other condiments....
Wanton and fish paste...
Spring rolls as side dish....
Greens to balance up the meal...
Enough for the 4 of us....
I couldn't possibly finish one bowl by myself...
That is for sure....
No matter how hungry I was then...
Yes, the Le Shrimp noodles was very good...
I would love to eat this again some day....
One bowl cost around $20...
OK, don't convert...
though naturally we tend to do so....
LOL....

Pleasant and Cozy Stay At Ji Hotel Orchard Singapore

OUR HOME FOR FIVE NIGHTS... and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near Orchard Road, small and yet cozy, clean and comfortable room which comes with a reasonable rates.

Ji Hotel it is called, thanks to my friend who recommended for us to stay for five nights.  Not too expensive as those hotels along Orchard Road, with the currency exchange between Malaysia and Singapore, I really could not afford to stay there.  My friend got a good deal for us, it was only $450 for 5 nights, a deal which I think we might not get the next time we go there....LOL...

Here are a few pictures I took upon checking in....

The queen size bed just next to the window with
a small mini size sofa and table....
I love their cute little tea set...
I would say this is the first time I see these cute amenities...
For a moment, I thought a guest left this book behind...
It was on the table...
LOL,.. I was wrong...
On the right....
Small little space but comfortable throughout...
The biggest gadget found in this room is the LCD TV!
I was so amazed....
It is Bigger than the one I have at home...
LOL...
