Shopping Spree For A Fee

After our breakfast this morning, Tammy, Girlie and I went for a shopping spree in the town mall. Surprisingly, we had an easy parking, no hassle of queuing up, furthermore today is free of charge! What a good start to a Saturday morning!

Upon entering, we went straight to a beauty counter, today they have good sales going on. Buy a certain amount and I can get 10 pieces of free gifts. LOL.. that is what I am looking forward to, the free gifts, redemption points and lastly, free vouchers! I have RM100 voucher in my hands after spending a few hundreds on my set of beauty products. (Aren't I vain?) Well, what to do, at my age, I need to "rejuvenate" my poor cells, right?

After my purchase, my girl also wanted something for herself. Ended up buying an "overall coat", very nice for her slim figure. (too bad size "S" could not fit me though) LOL.... I dare not count how much I spent, I simply signed the slips and keep my fingers crossed ... wait till the bill comes, then I will "faint."

The rest of another hour were spent window shopping, just don't enter any other shops, passed them by would do.... Then my girl suggested going for something refreshing and she suggested this place.

it was very cosy and nice...
just too bad that there were not many customers...

very nice designs... neat.. clean....

and sweet... in fact too sweet for my liking...
Next time I will not order this...
Looks refreshing but not at all quenching....
Well, there is always a first time and .. the last...

  11. Claire, your blog has not been on my blogroll in days!!! It just is today so I have been catching up with all your posts. Who is the poem to, did a friend just die? I am so sorry. Also your bittersweet memories about your husband, how often do you go to the mall, does it must be unbearably sad...

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....
I felt like eating Aglio Oli…

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
