Vietnamese Bah Chang

It is lunch time now, I didn't go out for my food, instead I spent my time poring over the pictures I have taken during my one month vacation... and thanks to yours truly here, I "tortured" myself by putting up these....

Guess what this is...
It only cost $2.50...
And worth every cent of it!
Yes, this is Vietnamese Ba-wan. (sticky rice dumpling)
something like our local Bah Chang..
Theirs are squarish.. ours are tetrahedron in shape...
The ingredients are pretty much the same...
Yellow beans with chunks of meat...
and how do they taste??
er... er...
I guess I have to go there one more time ...
and let you know How they taste like...
hopefully in 2014...
*big grin*

  1. Should taste pretty ok...but I think our Cantonese pillow-zhang would be more to our taste - something like lor mai kai.

  4. I always like this type of dumpling. My favourite is this type of white colour with lots of beans one. I could get this type of dumpling at Ipoh, outside Fu San Dim Sum on Sunday. It was sold at RM7 each.
