Hot Travels In Bangkok

Managed to dig up some old pictures, my second trip to Bangkok. My first time was in the 1980s during my honeymoon. Second time round, no more with my Honey but with my Fernie...

We arrived late in the evening, in fact it was almost 8pm when we reached the hotel... and we were taken to this dining place here...
Sara Jane Dining Restaurant...
The next day we joined a half day city tour....
and we were taken to this City Temple...
Entrance fees was 100bahts if not mistaken...
Our Thai tour guide... gentle lady...
We have to take off our shoes....
and of course we need to wear decently...
My girl was given a green robe to wear cos she was wearing a sleeveless dress...

Blazing hot weather and we forgot to bring our caps...
Bangkok is a very busy city...
regardless of Day
Or....
Night....
Reminds me of our own city, Kuala Lumpur....

  4. Bangkok can never change their traffic jams no matter how many train lines they have. You should go again for eat, shop and massage spree.

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...

Purnama Beach Resort, Pangkor

We thought we would be sleeping in these type of chalets when we checked in on Monday. But no, the lobby girl led the way.... passing by here.... and to this.... ....place instead... they looked new to me, thank goodness, only the weather turned us off on the first day, it was Xtremely hot that day and the air con was not working that good... that was why I complained on the 1st day but it was much better on Tuesday... we could stand outside here and have a little chat.... this was the place we stayed for 2 nights... ok lar. . I expected the worst actually... and this was taken tbefore we said our goodbyes.. thank God for safe journeys and a pleasant trip altogether...
