Traveling Bugs Me Again

My son sent this image to me via WhatsApp while I was still under the "Shingles Attack."  I was quite blur then, furthermore, I didn't have the mood to think about traveling.  If other normal days, I would be very much interested to check out the cheap tickets and will discuss with the "family" via Whatsapp!

Now that I am better, it is a different story...So are the cheap tickets still on sale?  I am attracted to Perth and Taipei only.... never been there before...

I remember the doctor telling me that traveling might be the reason why I have shingles...  the STRESS is there.... and now I am wondering whether what he said is true or not... it might be true... I did have a very busy time during April and May this year.... I have been traveling a lot....  but I haven't give up yet...  I wanna go traveling again, PERHAPS not this year though... BUT... as Arnold said in "The Terminator"... I WILL BE BACK!

So .....  have you booked your tickets yet?  Do you buy them many monthsr in advance?  I heard MAS is giving out good offers too... hmmm... my traveling bugs are here again... LOL...

  1. So? Have you booked yet? Where to? Come to Sibu better...relax, enjoy and no stress!

  2. everytime when they have all these cheap tickets on promo, sure i tak kena one lah.. always no luck with that~~

  3. Very tempting all these offers. So have you succumbed to temptation? ;)

  4. hard to find a suitable time to travel, my travelling time has to be during the school holidays..hmm..have booked tickets a couple of months ago for trip in December.

  5. True flying in jets produces free radicals

  6. Ya lo the promotion is very attractive, I so wanna book! (Never fly with AA before).
But me tied up with Aden, if I go travel must leave him to someone to jaga, aicks~

  7. Stp: another bloggers' gathering? I want....

Sk: must wake up at 2am onwards... I think....

  8. Mun: this time i let them decide and do everything for me instead....

Agnes: good... December is school hols...

  9. Bananaz: huh... No min pai ? :)

Hayley: oh. Me countless times... Cheaper than the others but for long flights, better to take others..

  10. Claire, take good care of yourself first ok? I guess there are many more promo from other airlines too..

  11. Surprisingly could not find any cheap tickets this time! Never mind, next time lah. Travel can trigger shingles? So stressed your traveling? : )

  12. Well, Claire, we have to live life! And you like to travel, so maybe a happy stress? Over here they say that it can only be caught. BUT if your immune system is a bit down, you can catch it much easier.

  13. No such luck to get a promo or cheap ticket. Taiwan is my prefer choice to visit.

  14. angeline: yeah.. for next year trips.. this year, i rest.. :)

foong: stress can cause.. other than low immunity and heatiness..

  15. ginny: doc told me that i might be super stressed then.. :)

irene: yeah.. how to get up middle of the night to get the cheap tickets.. hahaa..

  16. Not airasia has cheap fare... the MAS also markdown their fare for this period of time. I'm looking at the fare to BKK on MAS this Nov 2013

I could not plan that far due to my work.

  17. tz: Bangkok is nice! I would love to go again...

    sharon: been there once.. :)

  18. Didn't get it this time because I can't seems to get a good deal, Claire.

Maybe I will look out for MAS.

  19. Not really that cheap, especially for us Penangites... many 'cheaper ones' are actually departing from KL... i don't want to trouble myself driving all the way down or buy an extra ticket from PG to KL at extra cost, hehe

  20. well, the promo is indeed attractive. But it's always around once in a while. Maybe this time, you should take a good rest.

  21. yeeling: yes.. MAS is more comfy too. :)

ken: Jetstar goes Penang.. i heard it always gives offers too.. :)

wenn: least for this year though..

  22. Gosh just read your post about shingles! Sounded so scary!! Better rest more.. as for holidays, let your kids plan for you! No stress! Hehe

  23. kathy: name it! hahaha

sweetwitch: yes, i will let them decide and book them too.. :)

  24. Shingles?? So sorry to hear that, must be painful. Better get well first before u travel lah.

  25. WOW!!! Go and fly everywhere when we can still walk. Just book first and worry later. Ha ha ha ha...

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....
I felt like eating Aglio Oli…

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
