Bugis Food Court, Singapore

After dumping our bags in the hotel room, we joined our hands and walked a few meters away to have our first proper meal in Singapore. The Ibis Hotel here in Bencoolen is at a strategic location, it is right in the middle of Bugis area, walking distance to nearby food courts and stations.

We joined in the festive atmosphere here.. Lantern or Mooncake festival, lots of foodstuff for sale, fruits, lantern decoration and so on....

It was really fun walking along the roads without feeling any fear of being harassed or snatch thieves lurking around the corner.  One feels so much safer walking around in Singapore!
I think I were the only lady who wore the handbag this way...
There were so much to see actually... but our stomachs were sort of "growling"....
The food court is just around here.. within the vicinity....
Our first meal at the food court...

Everything looks good... I had a BIG bowl of this....
Only $2.50sg... such an Enormous portion...
This is the dry version with a bit of spicy ingredients...
Desserts while waiting for the food...
Tau Foo Far... only $1.00 per bowl...
After our scrumptious meal and satisfied stomachs,
we adjourned to our next destination....
Gardens By The Bay!

  7. I totally agreed with you, I feel safer and at ease walking in Singapore too. Every way is so clean and Singaporeans abide by the rules that make their country a better place to live.

I like their food too! If not for the high currency, we will want to go visit Singapore again.

Wishing you and your family a Happy Mid-autumn Festival! Ya, if earning SGP, the price of the food is really affordable.
