Seven At Sam Po, Ipoh

My big kids are back for the long weekend! Time really flies, right? Every now and then we seem to be back together as a family but in actual fact, it is around one month since we last saw each other.  Moments like these are pretty rare nowadays, we have to adjust to each other vacation's and semester break.   Even if it is only a short four days of togetherness, there is never a dull moment when we are together...

Food brings the family closer.. hahahaa... when we talk about food, our eyes kind of "sparkle"... I guess it is in our genes or in their genes, whatever... we love eating outside (since yours truly rarely cooks but I DID ... er... once... )  hahahaa...

Okay, back to my present post, one of our meals were taken in Sam Po in Ipoh Garden East.

Part of the "contingent" at Sam Po...
There were seven of us...
And we ordered six dishes....
Bill came to RM91...
Some greens ....for my mom!
Eggplants .... yes, brinjals again!!
Honey Chicken....
Loofah with Beancurd (for mom)
Claypot Stewed Pork Knuckles
Cute Yam paste filled with chicken and cashew nuts....
Oh no... !  What kind of look is that?
Well, forget it... let's EAT!!

  5. All the food looks very delicious to me.....mmmm. I wish I know how to cook that brinjal dish. Looks really good. And for RM91? That's cheap! If I can get such good food at that price here, I think I will close down my kitchen and not cook at all.....haha.

It's really wonderful to see that all your children can be back together every once in a while. Yes, must really treasure those times cos they won't last. It will get less once they have family of their own. Then you become busy again....haha. But good busyness :D Take care and hope you have a lovely week. I'm praying hard that you will retire early so that you will come here again soon :D

  15. I think 91 for 7 is very affordable too. Here it is at least 20 per pax for a sit down dinner like this. I like the beancurd and petola gourd dish.
