Taiping Cendol And Restoran Kakak

It was nearly noon when we reached and the first place we wanted to try out was the cendol which has been recommended by a blog friend and we came by here... Bismillah Cendol Taiping... It is along Chung Thye Phin Road, in fact there are three cendol stalls around that vicinity...
But we chose this cos I saw people standing and sitting here...
Where there is a crowd, the food must be ........... (fill in the blanks.. hahahaa)
Besides the cendol stall, there is also Pasembor and a laksa stall nearby as well...
 Jameema Cendol...
We ordered a plate of Pasembor to share....
How's the taste?
Well, all I can say is I like it...
The gravy is not so thick so it is not that "filling"...
 How about the cendol?
Compared to Penang Road one, this one is less creamier and not so sweet...
Kind of suitable for the more health conscious ones like me.... hahahaa....
I finished up the whole bowl without feeling "worried"....
Next we "jumped on the wagon"...
and we found this Kakak Restaurant in Jalan Pasar....
Looking at the crowd on a Sunday afternoon means the food must be good here...
Instead of koay teow (flat noodles), I opted for the "loe shu fun"  (rat noodles)
A very "size-zy" bowl but I managed to finish it all the same!
We added a few fish balls as extras and....
oh dear, I forgot to take the picture of the sambal!
The sambal belacan (chilie paste) is the "Ummph" and the "Kick"....
The cost is RM3.80 per bowl..
And my stomach was super full by then....
Time to rest.... ZZZzzzzz.....

As for the Kakak noodles, same! Many people purposely go there for the noodles.

  10. Kakak is the only well known keow teow soup for outstation people and visitors... There are many other places which are much nicer to makan in the morning.

Next time, show you the way to Bee Loon Yong Tau Foo keow teow soup. Slightly pricey because of so many "liew" you can order from. Their curry noodle is nice too.
