Selling Old And Getting New After Chinese New Year

Since the day we test drove the Suzuki Swift, Andy has been giving some suggestions on which car we should get for my girl.  At present we have two cars and we thought of selling one away and get a newer one.  In fact we have put up an advertisement online to sell off one of our cars because at the moment, both cars are sort of "too big" for my girl.  She needs a much smaller car, something with 1100cc should be fine with her.  She just wants to drive it around her college vicinity and to move around just around the small town.

That was why we went for the test drive the other day but we did not really like the model.  We heard of the New Automotive Policy recently in the papers and now we are awaiting for the new car rates.  Some of the car models we have in mind is Myvi, Atos, Hyundai I10 and the last choice is Viva.  I think the latter should suit my girl fine, the car is small, easy to handle and save petrol consumption since the petrol prices have risen recently.

A few people responded to our online advertisement on the sale of our present car.  One have seen it and has given a good price.  However, I am still undecided whether to sell it off or not, I am kind of sentimental when it comes to cars.  I treat my cars like my "babes"... LOL... Day in and day out, I have been sitting in this car for years and it has kind of gone through many "experiences" with me, if you know what I mean.  LOL.... Well, I guess I have to let it go one day... meanwhile I will look into the car loans and their monthly installments, check whether I could still afford to pay since I am going on retirement "soon."  There won't a new car for the new year, too late for that but I surely will spend more time with my "babe" during Chinese New Year!

  3. My mechanic says don't buy that - buy Toyota...or even MyVy, better - all the parts same as Toyota's...but maybe different at your side, service better, parts easily available - any brand.

  4. If you ask me:
    1) Myvi (always my first choice, don't ask why)
    2) Honda City (they have dropped the price and the current price is cheaper than Vios)
    3) Almeera (they say it's a good buy, but it's "big" and "bulky", not "see mun" for girls, haha)

  6. I test drove a Viva two years ago and did not like it. The car feels too light - very wobbly. Have you considered the small new Picanto?

    1. Yes, I heard Picanto is not bad.. KIA but no second hand value... But then all 2nd hand cars normally have no value, right?

  7. I think Myvi is a good choice. Just nice. My son bought Myvi last December with a rebate of RM1500. Heard people say Viva is very light & shaky.

  8. There's banks who are offering good car loans nowadays, just have to get the right one for your needs! :)

I'll go with a MyVi also, it's easier for spare parts and I heard good stories about the gas mileage. Hope you get a good deal on your car if you sell it.

Happy CNY to you and your family Reana! :)

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

The Good, The Bad But Not Ugly

MISSING AND NOW BACK IN ACTION...  I checked back my last post and it was 8 March last month and today is 19 April, less than two months only.  So what has been happening in my life?  Lots and lots... good news, bad news, sad news... all concerning health and I guess this is our life cycle as we live day by day.   My health is also not that "fantastic" during the past few months, but mine is a small rock compared to giant boulder which my best buddy is undergoing... I guess some of you know what is happening to her from her blog posts.  I was totally devastated when this happened to her, my tears couldn't help falling and my heart goes out to her.  I am ashamed to say that instead of me giving the comfort that she needs, I am the one that have been receiving her strength in times like this.  She might be crushed physically but she is not broken in her spiritual mind and soul.  One word... "Unbreakable!"  She is a shining example..... "What can death do to m

Exploring The Sea Cruise Royal Caribbean

CRUISING ALONG.... Once we deposited our bags in our cabins, we had our buffet meal at the Hammerjack restaurant and exactly at 4pm, we heard a loud Horn signal...  ITS TIME TO SAIL ALONG THE PACIFIC OCEAN! And while the ship started to sail, we humans started to walk and explore.... to familarize ourselves inside the ship....  Elevators on each side of the ship....  Making my mark....  On another side....  We walked along to check out our food outlets... This Promenade Cafe  had became our regular joint .... We like to sit there enjoying our hot drinks and desserts... Free flow of food day and night.... Passing through the bars to the casino... The casino will open only when the ship is in international waters...  At one of the jackpot machines... I wonder if they are real?? But they are only $1 bundles... Then we went up to the highest floor.... The swimming deck.... Taken against the sun.... Nice sunset in the evening.... The Happy Trio!
