The Climb At Youth Park, Station 3, Penang

I did The Climb during my two days stint trip in Penang.  We went to the Youth Park cos I need to "shed" off the extra calories... Calories from the hawker food, the abundant apom I have consumed, laksa, fried lobak, fried koay teow, etc ... etc... all the food I have input had to be churned into energy for this hill hiking.  With an umbrella in hand, I was all ready to CLIMB!  Lead the way, please.....
Hello Friend....
He was at the car park to greet us....
The serenity of nature...
The spot where we started our CLIMB...
Initially it was all steps....
Gradually.... the steps changed to rocks...
We have options... either to take steps or use the natural rock way to go up...
we chose the latter...
Halfway through... paused for a breather...
But after thirty minutes or so... I was quite exhausted...
Thank goodness I have my "walking stick" with me...
But the Climb was worth it when I saw this...
Did I really climb that high??  Or should I say.. "walk"...
Yes, we reached the Station 3 out of Station 5....
Got Facebook some more.. don't play play...
A place where we can rest our weary legs...
Around the Station 3 vicinity....
Well, I know I am not a Great Climber...
But I realized I could still Walk the Climb...
Walking up is not a problem... I just have to look up..
The real problem came when I have to go downhill...
I slipped several times... but overall, it was Fun ...
Especially when I think of the calories lost
And the food which was waiting for me for dinner!
hahahaaa...

    1. Oh, I was not bitten cos I wore long pants... If I wore shorts, I would have lots of scratches now from the slips and the falls... :)

  9. Nice hiking adventure, Reana.
Too bad there were no snakes, wild boars, monitor lizards!
I've encountered all these on my walks or around my home :-)

    1. Yes, Penang is famous for their botanic gardens and of course, monkeys too.. they are everywhere swinging from one tree to another in the parks..

  12. Youth Park is just next to Botanical Gardens, so the monkeys fly across the trees!
