Fish N Chips And Kangaroo Pizza At Fat Seagull, Phillip Island

Phillips Island - It was almost evening when we arrived at this small town to have our dinner.  My stomach was already "making noises" and whatever food in sight was good enough for me!

The tour guide recommended this place called Fat Seagulls, good food and prompt service.  Never mind about the prices, as long as the food served are tasty, it is all that counts!
My son told me that he wouldn't mind living here...
Quiet and peaceful....

 Fat Seagull, highly recommended....
Nice cozy place to have our dinner....
The crowd was there...food must be good here then...
but we only had one hour to take our dinner...
Andy was sure impressed by the large servings he saw on other tables....
The waitress recommended Kangaroo Pizza for us...
Actually it was a serving for one person... but we surely couldn't finish this lot!
Yummy Pizza!
We ordered two sets of Fish n Chips...
Fish was very fresh and nice.. no smelly taste...  Great!!
We ordered 3 sets of meals... they came with a free drink
And each plate is around $22-26
Getting ready to "plunge" into the food... but as usual the camera gets to "eat first!"
After that, no turning back.... hahahaa...
We still had a bit of time after our dinner...
And we went to the shop next door to get this!!
It's MINE!!
Guess who ended up eating it the most..... LOL....
Oh no... someone is really Oblivious of the surrounding...
Walking back to the bus after our satisfying dinner....
Within minutes, we reached the place... Penguin Parade on the seashore...
But no pictures were allowed to be taken....
Somehow we managed a few "selfie" ... the 4 of us freezing in the cold weather...

  3. aiyoh, kangaroo pizza, that's interesting!! so how does kangaroo meat taste like?? and that pizza is for 1 person, wow, it looks like the size of a family pizza in our chains here!! and our personal pizza, must be for their babies!! haha.. really huge portion, and eating in Aussie is surely not cheap at all huh?? anyway, i guess you didn't have a lot of the pizza and fish-n-chips, so you had 90% of that ice-cream all on yourself!! hahaha~~

  6. Kangaroo? No, thank you. Cold in the summer? Eeeee....lucky you, normally, the heat would be blistering, can fry egg on the manhole cover on the road.

Ya!!!! Fish and chips!!! Nice. Dunno why the overseas ones are always so very nice...not like the ciplak ones that we have here, like Manhattan - I had in Penang once, the batter drenched in oil, so terrible!!!!

  7. When I see fish & chips on my blog list, I HAD to read yours first!

I love fish & chips! I grow up with it. I hated fish when I was young, any fish, especially steamed coz my mum always steamed fish for dinner.. But when it comes to fish & chips (and tartar sauce), gawd, I can wallop the whole thing without using fork & knife, can just finish off with my fingers..

Wow, the kangaroo pizza very big wor, portion for 1 person? But for me, sap sap sui, I can finish the pizza by myself also, keke.. But the name kangaroo pizza sounds funny.. I would prefer it to be called "The Roo Supreme" or "The Kanga Delight", hahahaha..

  8. I love the fish & chips in Australia; and it is really so much different compared to the local ones we have here where sometimes there is more breaded flour compared to the fish fillet itself.
Oh my, Kangaroo pizza is indeed exotic to us, though not so much over there as the kangaroos are really in excessive in their population!
Looks like such a wonderful trip you've had; and it sure is better to be there during the colder seasons where you only have to dress up in layers, compared to the unbearable scorching heat they have during their summer! Enjoy your trip! =)

    1. I seldom take fish n chips here, yes, mostly like breaded flour and the fish is like those frozen sticks type... this one is really different.. I saw other tables ordering it so that was why I ordered two sets... :)

  11. How does the kangaroo meat taste like in pizza? Like rabbit meat?? It is categorised as red meat??

Gelato??? I think I no need to guess who ate it the most to win the prize! Lol.

Dont forget. The Australian portion for one is big enough for 2 pax. Haha.

    1. Kangaroo meat reminds me of the beef taste.. something like that but not as tough... Yes, western portions are big enough for two or three asians (females) :)

  12. Nice post Reana! :)

There's not a lot of shops in Philip Island - the main town is just a few strip malls but it was late when we drove out to eat and there's only one pizza place open and it's not this one. This one looks nicer. Haha.

One Australian thing I miss is that they put eggs on pizzas. I hardly see it over here.
