Shivering At The Lake Wendouree, Ballarat, Melbourne

By the time we reached the apartment after the Phillip Island trip, it was almost midnight. After cleaning up etc. etc, it was almost 1am and we had to wake up at 6am to get ready for another day trip to Ballarat! Aiyohhh... I guess the four of us had panda eyes that very morning... I should have taken a picture of our weary faces. So one advice for those who want to book day tours.. Don't clash all the three days tour consecutively if possible ...

So the very next morning we waited at Grand Mercure Hotel again to be picked up for the day tour to Ballarat, a mere two hours drive away... Ballarat the name reminds me of casino.. but actually Ballarat is Victoria's largest inland city and the site of the world's largest deposit of alluvial gold.  Yes, GOLD!  We are potential Gold Diggers!!
Quiet town in Ballarat... couldn't see many people walking around...
We stopped at this botanical garden on the way....
Lake Wendouree...
The weather was very cooling... oooh.. I was kind of shivering then...
At the gardens...
Give me some warmth!
I think I better hide behind the pole... hahaha....

  1. If you know how to go about the places, advisable not to join tour, very hectic. Botanical garden looks well maintained.

  3. Back to back day tours really maximized your time in Australia so that it is more worth the trip, no? I did not know that it can be so cold there around this time.
