The "Nausea" Drive Up Great Ocean, Melbourne

Day 3 - Great Ocean Road 12 Apostles

My sons went to arrange the day tours in one of the tour agencies along Swanston Street, Melbourne.  They came back with a package of 3 day tours with one free attraction for $300 per person.  We requested an English speaking tour guide and it is a bit more than the Chinese speaking ones in Chinatown.

The next morning we walked to Grand Mercure Hotel around 7.30am to wait for the pick-up.  And our journey started around 8am and that was the starting of our 4 hours "nausea" journey up the Great Ocean Road, one of the world's scenic coastal drives.

The long and winding road up the coastal and up on the hills...
Along the way, the bus stopped for us to take some pictures....
The tour guide told us that this is just the initial stage....
The way he put it, he said this is "rubbish"... meaning... there is nothing compared to The One...
The "rubbish" he meant is spectacular to us!
Aaron went down to take some pictures...
The rest of us were "resting" on the bus... trying to keep the "nausea" from our throat... urghhh...
Yes, it was a long and winding road and we felt like throwing up...
But we managed to "control" our nausea by swallowing some tablets ....
And taking a light lunch here...
Taking a breather....
Walking around in the cool air helps to control the "wind" in our body...
Andy relaxed by chasing after a bird... I forgot the name....
He certainly feels like a small boy again doing this...
I also felt much better after consuming the tablet...  I really hate Vomiting!
Love this picture and their spike hair... hahaha....
Then the journey continues for another hour....
My kids called the drive a Nightmare!
 LOL....
