Scenery From Penang Swimming Club

We wanted to stay in town but since we were planning to go to Balik Pulau the next day, we checked into a very reasonable room here in TH Hotel.
Can guess what TH stands for? :)
At the lobby...
Very quiet because of the fasting month....
A terrace for one to relax in the evening...
For dinner we went to the Penang Swimming Club Restaurant...
It was the first time for me to dine there...
From the balcony of the restaurant overlooking to the sea...
The restaurant has a very nice ambience...
Was told that only members were allowed to bring in guests...

And new apartments which cost around RM4 million?
Still under construction...
There are 30 storeys high...
The higher, the more expensive...
I think I don't need to face the seaside after hearing so much about tsunamis...
hahahhaaa...
By the way, I didn't take any pictures of any food taken there...
Kind of embarrassing cos they are just casual friends...
But the food was not bad...
Soft crabs, crabs soup, mango chicken and  two types of greens...
Waist line a bit widened, no doubt about that...
hahahaaa...

  2. Nice view from the balcony overlooking the sea. I have fobia of heights so guess I am not really interested in high rise buildings. TH stands for Tabung Haji, hahaha, just my wild guess.

  7. I was not able to guess what TH stands for. Nice that you have a member of PSC treating you all to a dinner there. I am also like that, if not that close friends, will not take photos of the food too.

  8. I adore the huge palm tree! Those buildings are too high and skinny to suit me! AND too close to the water for sure!

  11. RM 4 million?! *pengsan*
But that's the price la hor? Penang is a small place... Land very precious.

    1. I also cannot imagine why the price is so high.. maybe big and spacious lot...

    2. The RM 4 million ones should be those 2000 sq ft units. And yeah, the stretch between Gurney Drive and Batu Ferringhi is crazy expensive, probably because of seaside view and close to town. It is a bit like the stretch between Ampang Point and KLCC, the prices will go up like nobody's business..

  12. Call me jakun, what does TH stands for? Yep, apartments or condos in Pg are very expensive, becoz of the limited land.. RM4 mil? I can never afford that, nomatter how long I work, keke..
