Tourist Laksa In Balik Pulau, Penang

After checking out from our hotel around 10.30am, we set out for Balik Pulau. It has been more than a year or so since I last visited this place up the hills...
Short distance from the hotel... it was a hot sunny day....
After around 15 minutes or so, we reached Balik Pulau town...
The heritage landmark of Balik Pulau...
The rooster roundabout has been there for decades..
Soon we reached what we came here for....
The Tourist Place for Laksa!

But before I took the laksa, I finished this sweet pumpkin pau filled with red beans...
Very nice... Cost RM1 each..
I should buy more to take back to Ipoh!
Then followed by this...
Noodles drowned within....
 Dug them out... and....
... in no time... all tucked safely into my tummy!
Well, it did not end there...
It was still early and we walked along the main road till...
DESSERT TIME!

  10. The pumpkin pao looks very nice. I must go and eat it the next time I am in Penang. Wow, you drank all the assam laksa soup. Your stomach must be burning or sourish inside after that.

  17. This quaint town never changed and I want to laugh at this laksa. During my school days we rode scramblers on narrow roads there to eat laksa until rumors spread that they put old newspapers inside to thicken its gravy. Bluek! Of course it was nonsense I think but some stalls added chicken feed to thicken the soup. That was a secret to its yummy taste.
