Lok Wei Kui Noodles And Desserts, Ipoh

On a hot sunny day we went out for lunch in Lok Wei Kui coffeeshop which is located at the corner, just opposite Kamdar Textile along Jalan Jln Mustapha A Al-Bakri also known as Clare Street.  This shop has been around ever since I was a teenager or even before ... ie. more than 50 years ago.... very well known during the 1970s as I usually passed by that shop very often.  Yes, passed by only cos those days it is considered a luxury to eat in classier coffeeshops... those days most food were sold at the road sides already....
Those days this bowl of "Hor Hee" is very famous...
Today it is still nice but frankly, not as tasty as the yester-years...
Normally "Hor Hee" is eaten with glass noodles...
Besides noodles, I love to order peanut pancakes here in this shop...
It cost RM1 for a piece now...
Worth paying... just look at the nuts overflowing....

Simply the Best!
