Sitiawan Foodie

Time to go and buy some kompiah to take home to Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur. We were told to come here to get the best kompiah. (or is it pronounced as kompiang?)
There and then the workers were preparing kompiah... fresh from the oven..
Hot and Nice!
This is the place as told by the locals while we were having our tea in Yi See..
Very easy to locate too.. Just at the side of Wisma Ganda, the yellow coloured building...
Other stuff besides the kompiah...
This kompiah is different from the earlier post's ... white onions instead of darkened sauce..
Very crispy, crunchy and fragrant too!
It is RM1 per piece.... not so overpriced...
Next destination... James Cendol...
By then it was almost 4pm...
Time to close shop....
Bad news for us...
Only 101 bowl left!
Yes, One and only one....
Ice also "less" too...
And it cost RM2.50 per bowl...
Well... creamy no doubt....
That's our last stop for the trip...
Till we meet again, Sitiawan...
Perhaps another 2 more years later...

  21. I maybe from Penang where everyone says the hawker food is the best. The New York Times newspaper voted Penang as the 2nd Best place to visit in the world for its unique historical buildings and hawker fares all over the island. I am not biased on this but would say that every hawker food in Ipoh is also very delicious besides all the biscuits! We just need to know where to eat the best. I know Claire is the best tour guide in Perak.
