DIY Petai Fried Rice

Reanaclaire cooks again! One vendor parked his car in my office compound and started to sell raw petai (stinky beans).... No, he is not any ordinary vendor, somebody from the office must have told him to come and sell his petai to us with super cheap price. Each of us got 8 strands of petai for only RM3! So cheap!

Being "auntie-ness" and not wanting to be left out for not buying, I ended up with 8 strands of petai too... then cracking my head what to do with them after that...

I got eight strands of the above.....
and it took me more than half an hour to get them peeled and cleaned....

Upon reaching home, I quickly cook rice...
Actually I steamed them.... took me half hour or so...
Fragrance restored in steaming....
Oh, I thought my stove has ran out of gas...
It took me some time to get the fire going..
2 eggs, lots of garlic and RM3 of petai.....
Add in some dried sambal prawns given by my colleague....
And within minutes, my dinner is ready!
My Petai Fried Rice....
Eating petai is for "washing" our kidneys...
But for the next few days, I have to wash my toilet!
hahahahaaa....

  2. The more you need to wash your toilet means the more effective your kidney is cleaned though, which is good news :D

  14. I don't find them that stinky. Is it because the ones in Australia are frozen ones? Your fried rice looks yummy!
