Simple Tips To Give A Mesmerising Makeover To Your Bedrooms

Your bedroom is your one place of solace, that slice of heaven that you escape to at the end of your day. It should be a place that you’re comfortable in, and the decor should reflect that. Most of the time, bedrooms accumulate the fallout of years of neglect and misuse, and end up cluttered, without proper elements. Your furnishing needs and the look you want to achieve may change over the years you stay there, and every once in a while, you feel the need to update the “look” that it has. Redecorating is usually a costly affair, but it doesn't have to be. There are many small changes and additions you can incorporate that make a huge difference but don’t really lighten your wallet by much. We’ll work through the bedroom, element by element, so you can transform your bedroom into a luxurious experience!

The Bed

The bed is the focal point in your bedroom, and often the most neglected. Changing this goes a long way in setting the look and feel of the room. Invest in good pillows and linens. Two different pillow sizes should be enough, along with a set of neck pillows. Adding a classy duvet is an easy instant upgrade. Headboards are an inexpensive centerpiece. To add a personal touch, buy an old, used headboard and revamp it. Add your own paint, or upholster it in a fabric of your choice and voila! In case you have a metal bedpost with a frame behind it, you can decorate the wall behind your bed with an inexpensive but dramatic rug. This is an excellent bargain option that needs a minimum amount of effort as well.

The Curtains

Upgrading your curtains provides a fresh look at the room. Have boring, single color curtains? Add instant glam with a richly embroidered window valance. Wooden pelmets that hide unsightly curtain rods are another easy option. If your existing pelmets are boring, a fresh coat of paint can do wonders. If painting isn’t an option, you can use wash tape to define the borders that gives a nice, quirky look to the item.

The curtains themselves should be changed too. Investing in high-quality material and a nice design is always a good idea. Use light colors and translucent material if you don’t have a lot of ambient light in the room, and darker colors and heavy material for bigger rooms. Blinds are an option that adds a modern look and feel and are easy to maintain as well.

The Floor

The floor can make a huge difference to a room. Smaller rooms could do without carpeting, and the natural wood flooring makes the room look much bigger and airier. Instead, area carpets offer a much classier-looking alternative that is functional too. The color of your carpeting can go a long way in changing the look of your room. Changing it might be a tad expensive, but is worth every penny in the overall outcome. DIY dyeing is another option here. You can customize the color to be one you want, and you won’t have to stick to what’s available in the store.

Storage

This is the most dramatic change that you can make, and for nearly nothing at that! You can often have a number of piles of things in your bedroom. This makes the room look untidy and messy, and generally trashy. Step up your game with some easy storage options that instantly make your room look fresher and brighter. Old wire baskets can be lined with pretty fabric to make excellent storage options. Keep wicker baskets for dirty laundry. Keep a dedicated trashcan. Add a bookshelf. Your options are limited only by your imagination!

Accessories

These are the cheapest tips there are. Update an old dresser or wooden cabinet with a new, dark tint and new knobs or handles. Updating handles and knobs doesn’t take much money, but makes any old item feel like new. You could pick up some vintage ones for a luxurious, old-world feel. New varnish on all your woodwork is an excellent update that you can do at home.

Add new accessories like lamps that fix bad lighting in the room. Go for subdued lighting here, with an option to increase it if the need arises. Add wall-fixtures to add drama, and play with levels in your space. Invest in paintings, or get your old photographs framed. Use wall decals for an easy fix to blank wall space. Wall murals which are custom made, either store bought or handmade, add a personal touch and just the right amount of drama to make a good talking point.  Log in to http://www.homestoreonline.com.au for more information and details.

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Exploring The Sea Cruise Royal Caribbean

CRUISING ALONG.... Once we deposited our bags in our cabins, we had our buffet meal at the Hammerjack restaurant and exactly at 4pm, we heard a loud Horn signal...  ITS TIME TO SAIL ALONG THE PACIFIC OCEAN! And while the ship started to sail, we humans started to walk and explore.... to familarize ourselves inside the ship....  Elevators on each side of the ship....  Making my mark....  On another side....  We walked along to check out our food outlets... This Promenade Cafe  had became our regular joint .... We like to sit there enjoying our hot drinks and desserts... Free flow of food day and night.... Passing through the bars to the casino... The casino will open only when the ship is in international waters...  At one of the jackpot machines... I wonder if they are real?? But they are only $1 bundles... Then we went up to the highest floor.... The swimming deck.... Taken against the sun.... Nice sunset in the evening.... The Happy Trio!

First Day In The Royal Caribbean Cruise To Mexico

ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT.... gently down the sea....  Royal Caribbean, it is my second time following this giant vessel, the first time was from Singapore to Phuket, that was a very nice cruise.  So when my son mentioned that he found a good deal online, this time to Mexico, I agreed without hesitation.  Let's Go! A three nights stay with food and lodging only cost around $250 per person with at least one senior in per room.  Meals were either buffet style or fine dining, we can choose and cafes were opened 24 hours for us to rest and relax.  How not to resist... LOL...  And so here we are... just one week after landing in US, I was on the sea....  Looks small from afar...  It was a giant vessel with at least 14 floors.... On the way to embarking after Custom Clearance...  Our room for the next three nights....  Small and cosy.... And adjoining to my son's family room through a door...  The one with balcony cost a bit more...  A short briefing about safety after we checked in....
