Work Hard For Good Food

The next day after the funeral, all of us siblings and our kids did a "gotong-royong" ... we cleaned up the whole house, throwing what is not needed and keeping the necessities. There were more than 10 of us, some were in charge of upstairs and some downstairs. One of my siblings joked, "Workers are few, supervisors are aplenty!" Yes, most of us like to supervise only.. hahaha... those younger ones ended up doing more than us...

Soon it was time for a treat after all the hard work.  In three cars, we went to Tuck Kee Restaurant in Pasir Pinji.  All of us were still in our "dirty uniform" and unkempt hair... hahahaa...
This is us...
Untidy....
And yet...
I can still managed a smile with food in my mouth!
Ok, this is much better... Food gulped!
We had Tuck Kee's famous noodles...
Smoked Duck...
And some greens and fried rice....
This was the last dish to come out....
Succulent prawns with noodles....
I guess all of us deserved a Big Treat here...
and...
I am sure my mom would love to see us like this too....

  9. As usual all the food looks good.. Yeah usually when there are too many people (working), then more people will be chee tin tuk tei (point finger sky ground) and less people actually doing the work, hehe..
