Buntong Fried Noodles Behind Old Majestic Cinema, Ipoh

Yearning for the Buntong Fried Noodles again... this time I went along with my sister who didn't know where this place was relocated... and now she knows, she will bring her friends there next time. We reached MX11 at around 7pm and surprisingly this time, the place was quite full already.

Most of the patrons were patiently waiting and we were told that the "chef" had not arrived yet and we laughed upon hearing that.  Normally the chef  should be early, right?  Anyway, for our dinner we waited for around 45 minutes and meanwhile we ordered two sets of these Fresh Fish Balls to pass time...
One set comes in a set of 5.... and it cost RM6 per plate...
I was thinking "wahhhhh... so expensive ah...."
But when I bite into it... Wow... they were so fresh and nice...
And we ended up ordering another set!
We ended up "interviewing" the man who sells these
The fish balls were prepared by his relative who uses "Tau Foo" fish to do them...
All he needs to do is to steam them back for 7-8 minutes...
Must not be too long nor too short a time... otherwise they won't taste GOOD!
Highly recommended....
Finally the noodles came....  RM12
This is a Must Order Koay Teow...
The gravy was overfilling the noodles.....
I love it!!!
We also ordered a plate of meehoon....  RM12
Very tasty.... maybe I was too hungry then....
Waiting for 45 minutes is no joke even though there are fish balls around...
hahahaaa....
Our portion of food are for three persons....
And our total cost for this dinner came to RM36 for the food only....
Well, I will certainly come again...
Will bring my guests this time...
It opens only in the evening till late in the night....

  8. Noodles look good! They should let the fish balls stand on some kitchen towels first to soak away a bit of the oil.

  11. Wah, the meehoon looks delicious! I guess if the fishballs were good, then the price is worth paying for. After all, we are not going to sweat it out in the kitchen to make fish balls, so we have to pay for the labour :)
