The Old Town Of A Humble City, IPOH

On a bright Sunday morning, my girl and I strolled along the busy streets of old town, Ipoh... I heard that it has been very "happening" lately, also proven in some blogs and Facebook... Out of curiosity, we took a fifteen minutes drive to old town... Despite the hot sunny weather, we managed to cover some fair bit of the "What's Happening" in my humble city, Ipoh....
The Happening Place...

We walked around the vicinity of this area....

We had our brunch in Thean Chun...
Packed with people of all ages...
Walking along the lane between Kong Heng and Thean Chun,
we came upon The Farm....
Red Giant Tomatoes...
At one of the stores near Monroe Avenue...
Approaching the "marketplace" near Plan B....
Mostly handicraft items are for sale...

Bustling with people....
I guess they are only around on weekends?
The Arlene House.....
From the market, we adjourned to Concubine Lane....
Met up with Santarina.....
And stopped by here for awhile to get something done....
No More Boring Wall?
Interval time... Stone Painting....
Let's do a Ladybird!
Taking up the "challenge".....
After the difficult task was done, we made our way home....
Two hours was all we took...
Would like to go there once again....
*But remember to wear a hat or a cap this time round!*

  1. It is good to have this type of happenings but prefer to have it during evening/night time. Too hot during the day and I have to salute you for the 2 hours walk you have made. I love to browse through all the nice handicrafts. Very nice structure of the Arlene House.

  4. Hmm, from that angle, the Concubine Lane looks similar to Armenian Street in Penang..

  11. It's interesting to take a walk around and indeed wear a cap. I did that when I was in Melaka. The sun was so hot!
