First Night In Penang Island

By the time we left the airport, it was almost 8pm... our stomachs were already "growling" by then... so wasting no time, we went to a nearby "chu chau" stall along the main road. Since we were super hungry, we ordered four dishes to be eaten by the three of us...

Oh, don't ask me the name of the stall, we didn't really notice the name... all we wanted was a quick and nice dinner.....
The crowd behind us....
It means the food must be good, right?
Though we ordered 4 dishes,
the portions that were served were actually quite small...
Stew Yam with Porkie...
Baby French Beans....
Steamed Red Fish Thai style...
Anytime lemon grass, I am IN!

And lastly and not least... Kapak aka Clams with basil leaves...
The dinner came to around RM80 cos the fish itself cost RM44...
 Aaron seems to be saying..
Let's go for desserts later!!
Yes, The night did not end here...
We adjourned to Karpal Singh Drive.....
Just look at what we ordered...
Yes, we were a bit "crazy".... but then...
how to have a good night sleep without these??
No such thing as diet in Penang...
That's for Sure!

  1. I totally agree with you. Can never diet while in Penang. I like the clams, look so yummy and I like your dessert too.

  4. With good company, must go and fill up tummy nicely, no need to nibble here, nibble there to eat less. Red fish is that expensive or is the fish very big?
