Noodles House At Bugis Street With Sharon

OUR TIMING WAS JUST RIGHT! Spent an hour at the Gardens By The Bay and the next thing, we took a two stops MRT ride to Bugis Junction... we reached around 1.45pm and my meet-up with Sharon Lim was 2pm. We made a rendezvous at the water fountain at Bugis Mall...
Where the shopping starts here for the two girls....
A few tourists approached me inside the mall and asked me where Bugis Street is...
I hope I didn't mislead them when I point to this street here........ hahahaa...
The building where Sharon took me for lunch...
Called the Noodle House....
We ordered this... QQ Noodle...
A version of Sarawak Kolo Mee?
Surprisingly, it was beyond my expectation...
I thought it would taste so-so...
But it turned out so nice and fragrant...
I wonder what they "mix" it with....
Then I saw Wu Xiang...
Not too bad...
The crispiness is there but the filling was a bit too soft...
We didn't want a heavy lunch.... so we shared out our portion....
Cos I want to save "space" for this dessert that Sharon bought for me!!
So nice of her...
She bought not one packet but TWO!
Ok, I just asked her for the name of this kueh..
It is called Chwee Kueh!
Yummy... Yummy!!
Thank you Sharon for the Good Tasty Meal....
And taking half day to meet me up despite the distance!
*hey, Sharon.... I just realize you have your own trademark here!*
Thumbs up!!

  1. We call that desserts "chwee kuih"...toppings is "chai poh". The white kuih itself taste bland if without the toppings. My favourite & easy to make too. Both of you have the same trademark.

  3. We do not have a noodle house here. I wish we did. What are the round flat white things? I haven't seen anything like them!

  4. Of course, Kuching kolo mee is nice! I love Seremban Hakka Mee too! But like everything else, must know where to go for the good ones - this QQ place is very famous, many have blogged about it. They used to call it kolo mee...or did they call it kampua, can't remember now. Maybe lots of feedback from the people from here staying there - said nice but not the same so they now call it QQ noodles, their own name. Good move!

So nice and sweet of Sharon, taking her time off to meet you and take you makan. Where's your nephew? Didn't come and take you around to eat the best in town kah?

  7. The chwee kueh is not the same as ours over here. Usually it is inside the wrappers.

It does look like the Sarawak kolo mee. Pork lard would make it tastier. Hahaha.
