Simple Dishes For A Family Of Four

Marketing in dry and wet market is easily accessible now at the area where we are staying... I do not have to go to the supermarkets in the malls as much as before... Now I know of several shops that sells fresh poultry and another two shops that sell greens and other essential stuff needed for cooking... Well, that leaves no more excuses...

I have to start from the basics again, get used to cooking the simple dishes first and then referring to those chef bloggers for more complicated recipes! hahahaa.. Hold on to those first... One step at a time... as long as no complaints from the eaters, I would take a step further along the way....
Start simple cooking... with greens and meat...
Fried rice with two types of eggs... salted eggs enhance the flavour....
the kids love it!
My boys miss the minced meat with "tong choy"
So here it is....
Simple greens...
Sweet sour "skinless" fish after frying...
hahahaa...
Four dishes this time...
They requested for Pumpkin soup...
That one is no more a problem for me...
hahahaha...
And... as usual..... A"welfie" before the eating starts....
Mission accomplished!

  2. Hahhhh!!!! The fish got stuck to the wok eh? Skinless! Hehehehehe!!!!! Pat it dry with some kitchen towel, heat the wok till very hot, pour in the oil and wait till it is very hot...let the fish down into the oil slowly - do not move it till the spluttering sound has subsided - in the meantime, use the ladle to splash some of the oil onto the other side of the fish. Push gently till it comes free...and then, flip to fry the other side. No problem one, sure will not stick...so your fish will still have skin! :D :D :D

  9. I like your cooking. Very homey. Yes, simple dishes they were.

I always prefer marketing in wet markets than supermarkets. Cheaper and fresher.
