My Life As I see It

IT IS NOT JUST RELAXATION IN JOHOR... it is my new phase of life where I also work but only thing is that it is a different type of workload, not as in this picture here where my colleague captured it without my knowledge....
Slogging at work for the past 37 years?
Actually I enjoy office life, seriously....
If my work has no pressure, I don't think I will opt for retirement...
The office environment, my colleagues.. they are great!
Yes, due to old grey cells, I have to give them up...
No, it is not about putting up legs up and relaxing after retiring from office...
It is also about housework!
Each day I do this... hanging and hanging...
After a hard day's work in the house, I pamper myself...
Yes, I admit I do enjoy food especially desserts....
They are just too irresistible!
But after the sweet calories, it is time to shed them off...
As my girl, everything must have a balance... In and Out...
Traveling is one of the reasons I opt out..
I feel I am no more a "spring chicken" and there are so many places I love to go and visit...
And retirement age at 60 is just too far ahead...
I always remember what my friend told me...
Three main points...
If one has the time, money and health, do not wait any longer!
Go while we are still healthy....
Yes, I agree with that completely!

  6. Indeed! Life is too short to waste cooped up in the office day in day out, no time for anything else, but of course, if one needs the money, one does not have a choice. Otherwise, life is best spent resting, relaxing, doing things that one has to or wants or loves. I love my life as a retiree...

  7. I think there are more work to do after retirement, housework and there is no end to it if you really want to do it or else close one eye. Just that there is no pressure and you can work at your own pace. Love that bowl of desserts.

  8. Doing housework is more tiring than going to the office.. I do more at home when I'm at home.. At work, at least by the time I come back already 7pm, hehe..

    1. I can imagine how tired you are.. 7pm is quite late for me.. I reached home around 5.20pm all these years...

  9. Different kind of work. More relax and more times to do the things you enjoy.

  10. Actually, logically speaking, your housework workload should not increase post-retirement. After all, you have been getting by for the past 37 years without trouble. Just because you are retired does not mean you should do more housework, does it? Maybe you can try to establish the same routine with housework that you used to do, and use the time where you used to be working to do what you really want to do. ;)

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Cookies For Chinese New Year 2022 In San Jose

MISSING IN BLOGGING AGAIN.... this has become a norm now ever since I arrived to this continental... LOL... Now I understand the word of Full Commitment when it comes to taking care of baby... seriously, I have to be fully commited and occupied by this little cheeky fella who is now going to be his 10th month soon.  Wow... time flies, when I first came, he was just slightly over four months... that being said, it is soon time fo rme to pack my bags and leave.  LOL... My 6 months being a babysitter is soon over... and did I say I can hardly wait?  NO, NO... I love my job here and I am going to miss my baby tremendously!  I only don't miss his cries!  LOL...  OK, by the time I write this post, Chinese New Year is over, it is now the 4th day of CNY.  Two days before the Lunar New Year, my daughter-in-law and I cooperated fully and baked a few types of cookies.  Looking back at these pictures, I dare say that we did a good job... not on the cookies but at least we had a great time bond

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe
