Reanaclaire Cooks-Peanuts Lotus Soup Plus Two

HOW DO I SPENT MY TIME... I was asked a couple of times... Now I understand how it is like to be a Very Full Time Housewife or even for one who is not a housewife but stays at home and 'keep house'...It is very time consuming to be a Home Minister... no joke!   And for those who stay home and take care of babies/toddlers without any helper, one word.... "Salute!"   :)

Maybe I do it the harder way... I go to the grocery mall every day to do my marketing for each meal... *too free ma*  Each day by the time we reach home, it is almost 2pm considering we go out for our brunch at around noon.... the whole morning was spent in the house doing housework... *ahem* and of course, lazing around...

At around 4pm, I will start to prepare dinner especially when I need to boil soup....
Other ingredients will be done when the soup is boiling....
Takes more than 2 to 3 hours for this soup...
Peanuts take a bit longer so that they will be soft and nice when eaten...
Minced meat with potatoes and tomatoes...
But not sure why the picture turned out differently...
hahahaa...
Siew Pak Choy and topped with meat floss....
Always two dishes and one soup for the four of us...
Enough or not, we have to rely on the bananas to fill up our "space!"
hahahaha...

  2. Haha. Not bad. You have fruits in your menu.

I love peanut lotus soup. It has been a while since I cooked it.

I usually go marketing every 3 - 4 days. Cannot afford bring a toddler every day to market. Thankful I have my mum with me when go to the market.

So, have you get used to the new routine as a full time housewife (homemaker sounds more suitable for you).

You should put a table menu for them to pick the next day's meals.
By then you can increase their grocery contributions plus 6% .... Hahaha

  5. Getting a pressure-cooker will reduce your soup cooking time to less than 30 mins. You are indeed a very good homemaker, now your kids can enjoy home cooked food.

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....
I felt like eating Aglio Oli…

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
