Ipoh Breakfast Delights

MY FIRST MEAL OF THE DAY is normally taken outside.. no homecooked breakfast  in my house anymore especially now kids are grown and have left their nests here in Ipoh... I always look forward to having my first meal of the day, the appetite is always "stronger" in the mornings than the evenings... Secondly, looking forward to my first meal of the day also means interacting with my friends again... I feel very happy catching up with them... yakking nonsense is not a wasting of time after all.. Instead it livens up our day ahead....

Ipoh is a city of good food... here is a continuation of IPOH delights which I compiled from my daily food adventures...
It has been years since I last tasted Pasir Pinji Chee Cheong Fun....
There is much competition now on the quality....
The taste is not what I used to have many years ago....
Nevertheless, it is still very popular...
Need to get a number before being served...
Hakka mee taken in Amica coffeeshop in Ipoh Garden South...
Laksa in Kee Poh coffeeshop at Gunong Rapat...

Tasty fish balls at Lai Fun Gopeng in Bercham...
Along the main road opposite Tesco Extra, Bercham...
Chicken Koay Teow at Pulau Sembilan Restaurant, Taman Boon Bak Ipoh..
Chicken Koay Teow at Macy, Iooh Garden East...
Fish Ball varieties along Main Road, Jelapang...
Famous for their smoked beancurd....
Dried Noodles...
Soupy Noodles...
Fried Prawn fritters are available as well...
Jelapang Famous Rojak just next door....
Hakka noodles in old town, opposite Batu Pahat Jewelry shop..
Along Jalan Sultan Yussuf, Ipoh
Authentic fish balls from the yesteryears 1970sss....

  3. Really a lot of good food for breakfast! After breakfast, can still sit there to sembang over coffee. Yes, that is the life after retirement, you deserve it after working for so many years. :)

  4. These all look wonderful! Especially the noodle and soup dishes! So fun not having to cook breakfast, just get up and decide where to go. Here, there are only about three places that serve breakfast! Wish I could try one of these with you one morning.
