A Simple Detoxifying Meal

AFTER A FEW DAYS OF "ACTIVE ACTIVITIES"... it is time to tone down... This morning when I woke up, I told myself that it had to be a day of rewinding...

With a recycle bag in my hand, I made my way to the wet market... Bought a few types of greens consisting of red, yellow and white as well... hahahaa...
These are my colourful items I bought this morning...
Yellow corn, beetroot is red, white is chicken meat...
And greens is the lofa!
I just sauteed it with lots of garlic and some dried shrimps....
When the lofa has turned soft, I add in one beaten egg...
Two hours of slow fire, the soup is done...
Just one beetroot, one corn, some red dates and wolfberries...
And the soup turned out very sweet.....
My humble meal for today's lunch and dinner!
See, I am no fussy eater... hahahaa...
I have been receiving some concerns from my friends...
Citing that I should cook more and eat out less...
Thank you for your concern...
I will definitely do that....
Will start cooking more at home and less outside food....
*hopefully*

  2. hehehe.. good thing is that you know how to "balance" you "active activities" with some healthy and simple meal.. and why not see it to be "to eat some simple food now is to prepare myself for eating more delicious food in the future"!! hahaha~~

  3. After eating outside food for some time, we tend to crave for simple home cooked food which can be very simple, yet very tasty meals at home. Keep if up!

  10. I can't see the chicken meat in the photo. Your beetroot must be very big to cut out such big chunks. Did you eat rice to go with the dish and soup?

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch
