Earthen Restaurant In Monterey Park

I WAS SCROLLING MY PHOTO ALBUMS IN MY HANDPHONE... There are so many of them not posted up yet in my blog here. I better do them before the pictures "disappear" from my hp, never know when, right? My HP is a four years old now, anything can happen and my laptop here is now full of PICTURES! Another problem, I got to get a hard disk to download them all...

Coming back to my current post, these pictures were taken during dinner on our first night in Los Angeles.  My sister's friends joined us for dinner and they suggested coming to this place Earthen Restaurant in Monterey Park for a meet-up.
We drove nearly for an hour from our hotel to this Earthen Restaurant
which is a mixture of Hongkong cum Korean food...
Highly recommended was the word!
Amused by the chopsticks wrapper....
Hope it's effective to those new learners...
And now our dishes... ordered by the LA locals... :)
Roast chicken with lots of garlic as toppings and the skin was kind of "sweetened"
Very special....
Love this pancake with leeks....
A very tasty combination... crispy on top and soft inside...
This is something similiar to our local "Loe Sang" in Malaysia...
And after the Mix...
This is familiar... Kau Chee...
Some greens with beef as topping...
This reminds me of Korean too...
Pancake with big onions and some greens...
I like this... I think I took two pieces straight on...
Lastly and not least... a plate of Hongkong style fried rice...
By then my tummy was going to "close shop"....
The bill for these dishes above came to around $80++
Certainly we cannot get this price over here if we don't convert...
hahahaaa.....
Till we meet again... in LA...

  2. The pancake with lots of leek in it is a dish from Taiwan and maybe China too.

  4. Wow! I love this pancake with leeks. My sister who has a Swedish hubby always make this pancakes with different fillings including spinach.
I know the Americans are very excited with the chopsticks and fortune cookies! Funny thing is that we don;t even have fortune cookies in Malaysia, Taiwan, HKG or China!!! I heard these cookies with messages are imported from HKG for US market only. Funny yeah!??
