Special Steamed Fish In Chemor

COME MONDAY MORNING... I had an early breakfast with my ex-colleagues again, I forgot to take a picture of us, really "muhibbah-styled"... It is nice to get together once awhile to catch up with old and new ongoings that is happening around us. We had breakie in Silibin and I had capati, seems I am into Indian food these days!

Immediately after my breakie, I parked my car in the office and waited for my two "foodie buddies" to join me for lunch!  Our destination was Chemor and it took almost half an hour to reach.  Anyway, it was still early when we reached Chemor... And we were quite undecided as to which to eat... Fish head noodles or steamed fish with rice??   Then we settled for the latter....
Before we arrived, my friend told me that I might not like what I see...
Well, nothing so shocking to me... I am used to seeing and eating at sheds....
As long as the food is GOOD!
To quench our thirst, this is a good choice...
Fresh Umbra Juice in Anchor Beer glass... hahahaa....
WIB to imitate MIB...
And a cookie to go as "appetizer" before the meal....
We were the early birds and we had to wait for more than half hour
for the chef to prepare the dishes...
He was still busy "chopping" up the ingredients when we arrived...
We ordered eggs fried with bitter gourd....
Tapioca leaves in garlic...
And their Special is Steamed Talapia with lots of Garlic, Ginger and Chilipadi!
The fish has no smell and very fresh too...
Three dishes in all...
And the bill comes to RM47 ($12usd???)
Oooopppsss... don't start eating first...
Somebody's camera got to "eat" as well before we humans do....
hahahaha...

    2. Got!!! Of course, there is a difference! This is like bitter gourd omelette - a lot of egg, can hardly see the bitter gourd. Usually, it is fried bitter gourd with egg added, mostly bitter gourd and not so much egg. Salted egg would be great too...and some use century egg as well. All nice!

  3. I like 2 types of steamed fish.. The "cheong jing" (taucu sauce) and the normal garlic+ginger+sesame oil sauce... I like the fukua chin tan too, but normally I'll stick to fu-yong egg coz the kids like it..

  11. I always enjoy meeting up with ex colleagues! There is more to gossip and talk without reservations than to meet relatives! Oh dear, relatives can be good actors.
Wow! Yummy Umbra juice again. When I posted about Umbra juice, it was like kicking up a storm here as it is very rare to find this drink in KL. I believe you guys enjoy ample healthy juices easily in Ipoh.
