Venturing Into Fiji Islands

I feel so good to be home again after a two months vacation in California though at the same time, I do feel a sense of "missing" and grateful to my sibling and her family who have been so "hospitality gracios" to me during the time I was there.  It has been a fortnight since I came home and many of my friends had been asking me since... "Where will you be going next?"  LOL...  Yes, they know I am an avid traveler and that was what I have been doing since my retirement from my job this beginning of the year.  So... where shall I go next?  Frankly, I have a few destinations which I would love to visit next, some parts of the countries in Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, New Zealand to name a few... and recently I have a great interest in finding out more about Fiji Islands!  Yes!!

Where is Fiji?  From the world map, the Fiji islands is located in the South Pacific Ocean about 1,600 miles north of New Zealand.  From the information I gathered, I can fly to New Zealand and from there, I can take another 3 hours flight to the Fiji.  Since I have never been to New Zealand yet, it would be great to kill "two birds with one stone" as the saying goes.  However, there are a number of things to check into before one makes a "blind" booking and from my resources, there is one reliable website whereby relevant details and information were given.  My friend recommended that I should look into VentureFiji.com before I make any flight or hotel bookings elsewhere.
Briefly about Venture Fiji, there is a team of destination specialists, advisors and entrepreneurs with a passion for travel and love for Fiji.  They can ever ready to assist us travelers to make arrangements such as flight bookings, accommodation and a very-well arranged travel package on the Fiji Islands.   That is what we fellow travelers would love to have, right?  No more hassle of "bargaining" or arranging our own day tours upon reaching a new place, it makes traveling become stressful.  I always like to have a right and reliable company to handle my trip especially in places I have never been.

From what I have read about Venture Fiji, it does sound pretty interesting, a team who have a passion to help us tourists to discover and celebrate Fiji which is home to some of the most beautiful islands, resorts and people on earth.  They are certified Destination Specialists as written and as travelers, they have the best knowledge on hotels, cuisine and itinerary for us travelers.  Depending on one's desire and choice, whether we are going on a romance, luxury, family, cultural experiences or adventure, we can just contact them online via their website or call their number 1.800.839.7891....

Well, that is what I am going to do when I have make my decision.... Once decided, I will start planning my "travel group" for a "paradise trip" to Fiji!!  :)

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch

Night Market Along Lee Garden Plaza Hotel, Hatyai

BY THE TIME WE REACHED THE HOTEL, it was almost dark. This time round, we took a longer rest in the hotel... my girl might not need it but I certainly did!  After recharging around 80% of my body strength, we were ready to explore the streets again. Our hotel is really a strategic spot for us tourists.  The street vendors were all ready to boost their sales in front, at the side and along the whole stretch of street where we stayed.  Left, right, front... the place was filled with people and tourists like us... I could hear some of them speaking my dialect, we felt kind of at home instead of being tourists.... Besides the street vendors in front of the hotel, there was a night market just five minutes walking distance away from our hotel, Lee Garden Plaza.... Maybe they only opened during the weekends?  I am not sure about that.. .anyway, we were kind of excited to see all the bright lights along the street.... Come... Let's Go! We started from the beginning of the str
