Our Homecooked Dishes And Food In Taman Pelangi

THE KITCHEN IN JOHOR IS TEMPORARY CLOSED FOR NOW.... The cook has gone back to her hometown again.  From now on, it will be opened only during the weekends when the owner is not working, he prefers to cook a One Meal dish for himself, a very simple eater, I can say....
 His own homecooked dinner...
He said tasty cos it is his own cooking...
And what's more, his mom is not that great either!
hahahahaa...

Yes, each time I cook, I take pictures of the dishes so that I can make room for improvement next time... :)
Kapitan Chicken...  I didn't add in santan....
The dish should be thick and not watery like this....
*Learn from error*
 Ponteh Chicken....
Same here, a bit too much water added...
*room for improvement*
Simple blanching of broccoli...
Our simple homecooked dinner...
And these were what I took in Taman Pelangi, Johor...
"Lui Char" ..... not too bad... a lot of ingredients with rice underneath... RM6
Fried Koayteow Johor style.... tasty too!  RM6
And not to be missed at Taman Pelangi is the rojak!
And drowned the food with a big bowl of gingko dessert....
For three bowls of gingko and one plate of rojak, it cost RM17...
Prices are reasonable... not too bad...

  1. One pot meal can be very tasty when it is cooked by ourselves. This is because the cook appreciates his own effort the best! Good to know you are back safely in Ipoh now.

  2. I am also mostly cooking one pot meal for hubby and myself. Or we will drive over to the hawker centre to have some home cooked meal at our regular stall. I love your gingko dessert!

  3. When I cook for myself, I find that no matter how screw up it is, it will still be good enough and edible for myself. But then, on the other end, no matter how well I cook, I always worry it is not good enough to serve to others. Sendiri cook, sendiri makan, sendiri syok lah...

  10. I also like one pot meals. Less fuss and less cleaning up. Home cooked dishes is always best even though they may not look so glamorous.
