Lunch At Claire's And Dinner At Mary's

MY TRAVELING PARTNER IS ALSO A GOOD COOK, SO BLESSED that she has followed me on this trip... Well... Blessing for me for me but not sure for her ..... Hahahaa.... She has to take care of me when it comes to food as well.  Thank God she loves cooking and I only help to eat... Hahahaa...

Since my friend can cook well, we invited Mary to come over for lunch instead.... Two good cooks settled down for lunxh and sure had lots to talk and share about especially when it comes to ingredients... Funnel or was it fennel...whatever spices, I get to know a bit here and there....
My friend cooks indian cuisine dishes most of the time...
She did this Sambal Cod Fish from scratch.... I could only hear the blender from where I sat...
And the result was fabulous.... Very tasty and not as spicy as I wanted
Potatoes fried with mixed ingredients all from indian spices...
Oh, don't ask me what but they are flavourful...
Even Mary was impressed and they ended up talking about recipes and doing business..
Hahahhaaa.....
Some mixed vegetables..
And this is my request.... Rasam!!  Very appetizing!
Sweet and smiling Mary with our humble lunch....
After our lunch, we went shopping, pity the ladies though... they have to carry my heavy wheelchair each time I get down from the car... Thank you, ladies!  After our shopping, we adjourned to the courts to have agood game at badminton... I was really "itchy" ... Hiw I wish I could just stand up and have a good game!!  But all I did was to hold the racket and imagined myself being at the courts hitting out...
Badminton finished at 7.30pm and Mary invited us for dinner in her house...
Know what she did??  She made these noodles herself and fried them plate by plate for us!!
Juat look at that!!
So yummylicious...with baked roast chicken as toppings.....!!
Happy smiles throughout the whole evening....
So thankful that blogging led us to the Mohs!!

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch
