Meet-Up At Peking Noodles House, Ipoh

WOKE UP TO THE SOUNDS OF MUSIC.... but alas, the music was from the lawn mower! Why did this fella have to come so early in the morning to cut grass?? I am a light sleeper, any kind of noise especially those unwanted ones will be able to wake me up from my dreams...

Leaving no choice, I got up much earlier than my waking time and did some chores to pass time.  My appointment for this morning was at 11am and I had my first meal of the day with two friends, they are also bloggers and I am sure many know them too!
We had our meetup in Peking Noodles house suggested by Cheah... 
Elin and I tried the noodles made from spinach *bayam*
Cheah's order is the regular one... 
We had some side orders... crispy fried "sengkuang" with spring onions... 
Quite tasty.... I know I should refrain...
Two pieces and that was it...
The beancurd was kind of special too... 
And our brunch was complete... 
Will be able to last me throughout the day till dinner... *I hope*
Had a good time catching up with one another...
Hope we will catch up again one day.... 
*Now yearning for some desserts!*

  2. Have not been to Noodle House here for a while now, you went there when you were here - always so packed, full house and so noisy so not all that keen to drop by. What time do you wake up usually? I get up around 4 or 5 something? Wish I could just sleep in and wake up late like everybody else now that I've retired...but just cannot. :(

    1. Oh, not so early la!! That is the best time to continue sleeping.. I normally sleep late ard midnight and wake up at least eight or nine hours or more later.. hahhaha...

  4. ooh, the noodles looks good woh, can see from the photo it's very springy.. and then all those fried stuffs are really great to go with the noodles leh.. hahaha, just two pieces of the sengkuang?? i actually love that, i guess only in Ipoh?? can't find these (or shall i say nice ones) in KL anymore leh~~

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum....
