Bayan Baru Food Court And Queensbay Mall, Penang

UPOM ARRIVING IN PENANG, WE DROVE STRAIGHT TO BAYAN BARU TO CHECK OUT THE ROOM.... Deposited the bags there and went for a light linch at the Bayan Baru market cum food court.

Since it was pass lunch time, this place was not as crowded...
Normal days most of the factory work staff will come here for the many choices of food...
My son and I ordered a bowl each of their fried mihoon with fish....
Something we had not tried before....and we like it!
My girl tried their fried koay teow....
And we love the pasembor most of all......
And the next thing I found myself joining them for a shopping spree in Queensbay mall nearby....
I thought of waiting for them at a cafe while they shop but my son wanted me wheels.....
And the pushing started again.... Just like the Europe holidays... Hahaaaa...
Taken at the entrance of the mall... So 'chinese-sey' this year.....
Beautifully decrated to have the Feel for Chinese New Year!
Wonder those are planks or boards....
Someone is holding the brush like he's holding a pen.....
Hahaaaaaa....
Same here with this girl... That shows they are not so chinese-sey....
One more for the album before we began the shopping and the paying....
Yes, now looking at the pictures, I realize I need to put on some weight on my legs....
Any suggestions on how to fatten them up?

  1. Not easy to write Chinese calligraphy. Lol. English letters are easier to write.

My kind of fried mihun. Prefer it drier though but yours was lovely enough. Pasembor? Like Indian rojak is it??

  3. So good, over here, most places close after lunch time but they open again around 6 till late at night. Afternoon, not many customers so I guess it is a good time for them to go home and rest. Lovely food, lovely decor...and so nice, to be pushed around like a queen. LOL!!!

  5. Thanks for the review on the pasembor in Bayan Baru Food Court. I will try it the next time I am in Penang. I am with PH on this, no need to fatten your legs. They look very nice, slim legs.
