A Peranakan Lunch At Nancy's KitcheN, Malacca

MY MALACCA TRIP WAS SPENT relaxing and going for my meals only.... While the rest of the family went shopping, I spent my time in the hotel room and waiting for them at the lobby when we checked out.  I could only strolled along the hotel area, there were a few shopping outlet within MY walking distance, H&M is one of them.  But I did not end up buying anything, could not find anything that suits me, the designs and the prices, none caught my eye.... hahahaha...

We thought of skipping lunch and headed straight back to KL but whilst doing so, a shop caught the driver's eye.. He suggested that we should try Nyonya food before heading back.  He must be pretty hungry, actually I was hungry too... I only took a light buffet breakfast in the morning.... The shop which caught his eye was none other than Nancy's KitcheN!  This shop was mentioned in the tourist booklet we read in the hotel...

Authentic Peranakan Food...

The shop was fully occupied... but thank goodness, we managed to get a table upon entering...
Otherwise we have to climb the stairs to the second floor....
For appetizers, we started off with a Nyonya Popiah...
I like it... Sweet and nice...
And the thick santanic cendol...
My sister said it was the BEST so far!!
Peranakan Otak-Otak....
Four angles beans.... Very spicy too...
 Cincaluk omelette...
Peranakan Curry Chicken....
Fried Rice....
Our Peranakan Lunch at Nancy's KitcheN....
Bill came to around RM70 plus plus drinks with beer....
Feeling much satisfied after an authentic lunch,
we proceeded on our journey back to Sg Buloh....

  4. I love the otak-otak the most.. When my kolik balik kampung to Melaka, I sure ask him to buy me a few blocks of otak-otak, just like in the picture.. Then I just thaw, and steam on top of the rice cooker.. Sedappp..

  6. I love nyonya food but so far, the ones I went to in Malacca and Penang had been disappointing. I went to Mako, it was so good years ago but not anymore. :(
