Food To Explore In Ipoh

IPOH IS GETTING BUSIER BY THE MINUTE.. yes, it is homecoming for many since last week.  Just alone in my area alone, the roads are filled with outstation vehicles... the Chinese New Year atmosphere is now on.  Food is abundant everywhere, stalls are opened full blast to cater foodie lovers especially those who come back from afar.... Locals like me will stay home and relax watching Astro... hahahaha...

For food lovers, I have a few selections here, some places where I have been to eating for the past weeks.  Some are popular and well known... and some where locals love to go....
From Keng Nam along Jalan Raja Ekram....
I like their glutinous rice with sweet kaya....
For prawn mee noodles, I like the stall from this coffeeshop
along Lebuh Taman Ipoh, Ipoh Garden South...
The shop is along the same row as Scotch Pub....

The Hakka Noodles suits my taste buds!!
The pumpkin barley is something special... nice combination...
An elderly uncle selling some varieties of dumplings...
Worth trying them out!
Yat Yat Sing Curry noodles in Ipoh Garden...
And their pork balls....
This is taken in one coffeeshop just opposite the Pasir Puteh market...
I love the way they prepared the hard boil eggs with toasted bread....
For something clear and nice, I like the Hor Hee along Jalan Lahat....
Their crispy beancurd skin goes well with the noodles...
Oh, this one is taken in Tuck Kee Restaurant, Pasir Pinji...
I like the way they cook the noodles... very aromatic!
These are a few which I have eaten for the past few weeks...
Of course there are many more choices to explore....
Meanwhile.....
Welcome to IPOH!!

  7. I hope one day I will be able to make a trip to Ipoh and enjoy all that there is. I love pulut with kaya, yum yummmmm.....

A lot of people home here too, terrible jams, so hard to go here an dthere...but one thing that I noticed - malls and shops are packed with people but not many people at the cashiers' counters. Previous years, so many would pick a lot of stuff and then just leave their baskets or trolleys there as they could not stand waiting too long to pay. Not anymore. Times are hard. :(
