Invitation To A Humble Dinner

AARON is home for a short stay and this time he said he preferred to take more homecooked food than outside food, if we could help it.   The first night we had our homely dinner outside as in my previous post, nothing elaborated or much flavoured... just a simple meal.

And the next day, before I could even think of what to cook for him, my sister-in-law beat me to it.  hahahaha.... She invited the both of us to go over for a humble dinner in her house.... Humble or simple meal, we were all ready to go!  Anything homecooked is Very Fine with us!

When we saw what was laid on the table, I exclaimed... "Wahhhh... this is called Humble Meal?  I wonder how many dishes if it is not a humble meal... hahahhaa... "  We were famished just by looking at the dishes on the table!
Yummy Yam.... my favourite dish!
Sweet sour porkie...
Spinach....
Steamed Golden Pomfret...
And Lotus soup with peanuts....
So... this was our Humble Meal for the evening...
Indeed we were Blessed for the scrumptious homecoming dinner!

  1. So sweet of your sister-in-law to invite you all to a scrumptious home cooked dinner. Aaron must be very happy to have such a good meal in the wonderful company of his Auntie.

  7. I can understand why Aaron wants to eat home cooked food sometimes. It has mama's love inside! Now I recall back when my mum was alive, I used to visit Penang and my parents often took me out for special dinners until I had to tell her that I wanted to eat at home. Mummy's cooking has the warmth and love inside the ingredients.

My aunties never invited me to eat at home. I must be terrible. LOL
