Lunch In Kuala Lumpur, Dinner In Ipoh

AARON AND I DROVE DOWN TO KUALA LUMPUR USING THE WAZE... For the first time I downloaded the app in my old phone and surprisingly, it was "usable!" In fact, it led us all the way from Sg Buloh to Jalan Ampang, smoothly without any hiccups.  We parked our car at the Wisma MCA and since we were quite early for our appointment, we went to K Avenue to take our lunch.  It was just a short distance away but for me, it was considered a long one, going up and down the pedestrian bridge is no joke for me! hahahahaa..
Safely at the K Avenue mall and we opted for a Japanese lunch...
Gabriel's recommendation... .
Aaron doing his garlic on the squeezer....
Eventually he had to "knock" a bit so that they could be released...
I had the Bankara ramen....
The soup base was pretty thick....
I guess I am not used to eating this type of soup...
Anyway, I want to thank Gabriel for the hearty meal...
Great catching up with you again!

It was still drizzling when we left Wisma MCA around 2.30pm and using Waze again, we managed to go to the highway and reached Ipoh in the evening.  After checking in all our stuff, we proceeded for dinner at Tai Kong in Pasir Puteh.  More or less like homecooked food and that is what I like!
Steamed meat with "mui choy"
Salted vegetable soup...
Old melon soup....
Yes, we are "soupy" people... we ordered one for each of us....
And they gave us an enormous plate of blanched vegetables...
For a simple meal like this, it cost RM22...
Don't mind coming again for our dinner another time!

  8. Your bankara ramen looks like shark fin soup at first glance. Hehehe.

I used Waze when I stayed in Sibu. Pretty useful although it could be confusing sometimes. Like some roads in Sibu can no longer turn right, the Waze aske me to turn right. Lol.

Indeed your dinner is so homey. Even the bowls and plates that they used is what I used to use when I stayed in Sibu. Haha. Hubby's uncle has many of those stainless steel bowls and plates.
