Bonkers Over Bananas And Breakfast At Moon De Moon

TING... THE MESSAGE SHOWED..."TOMORROW WHAT TIME?" ... then few seconds later, the reply came.."8.30am, get ready!"  Our usual communication during the night to prepare for the next day.  That means... I got to get up at 7.45 this morning, very much earlier than my usual wakey time!  But then it is all worth it when I can have my first meal of the day spent with my happy foodie friends....

Since it was early this morning, I suggested going to the Moon The Moon in Taman Mirindi near Wah Keong Park.  This shop is normally crowded in the morning because of their famous smooth silky chicken koay teow.  Any time after 10am, it is "risky", they might be sold out by then....

We
Even though we were early, we could not get a place inside the shop...
So we had to sit out on the road... and admire the trees opposite.  :)
While waiting for our noodles to be served, my friends went bonkers over...
BANANAS!!
hahahahhaa...
Started off as an appetizer....for us.....

To my surprise, the food came earlier than I expected...
The thick broth of chicken and prawn....
Just enough to cover the silky noodles....
Each of us had a bowl of that....
And a plate of Mun Sang Mee to be put in the center for "side-kicks"
There.... our orders...  for the camera to "eat first!"
And somehow not ONLY the food was taken....
We old retirees have fun taking each other as well!
NOW... who says OLD cannot have fun?

  1. What bananas are those? I like what we call kay leng chio, Indian banana - dunno what it is called there. Seller in Melaka told me not to use that name in case I got beaten up. Hehehehehehe!!!! Noodles look good, wish you would state the prices though.

  2. I love that Koay Teow chicken soup. As long as they are from Ipoh, all are good for me.
That bananas looked so nice like a big sunflower! They all went to toilet right away?

  5. Another one of our favourite eateries but it usually entails an extremely long wait. All for good food

My White Elephant

WHITE ELEPHANT.... still laying on my table for two months I think....   My friend groomer is not free these days, my poor Labby badly needs her hair cut and leaving no choice, I ordered the grooming shaver online.  I thought it would be easy to install the shaver to the appliance and till today, I am still at my wits end on how it is fixed.  My friend gave me a tip... check out the Youtube, she said.  Yeah, how come I did not think of that.....  But till today, I have not even touched it and my poor furry member will have to wait till this Mama has her right mood to do it.   My own hair also badly needs a hair cut and with the high Covid cases each day, I guess I have to tolerate for another month with my unruly hair..... or perhaps I can make use of this clipper on myself before I use it on my furry member!  LOL.... Crazy me! Still standing nicely on the table....  Still looking at the gadgets.... and not doing anything about them... I am happy with this dish....  Better looking afte

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Two Dishes One Soup Dinner

AUNTIE'S SIMPLE COOKING... for dinner on one evening.... Defrosted a piece of cod, my last piece in the freezer besides another few more pieces of other types of fish.  I think I consume the most fish this year, never bought so many types of fish before.  Maybe it is made easier for me this year cos of the online shopping at Gracious, cleaned, vacuumed and free delivery above RM50.   My last piece of cod.... A plate of greens called Yau Mak...  Not so sure what it is called in English And chicken herbal soup....  My complete meal for one evening....  As usual, I do not take much rice... Or perhaps I did not take rice at all for this meal....  LOL...
