Birthday Celebration At East Ocean Restaurant, Menglembu

SOMEBODY UPLOADED A VIDEO OF A SPECIAL DISH on Facebook recently and since someone's birthday was yesterday, we decided to have the celebration at East Ocean Restaurant last night.  We booked the table one month beforehand because it was a long weekend this week.  It has been some time since we last gathered as a family.....
We were there early before 7pm so that we could get a nice parking....
And since we were early, this was what we did while waiting....
Then when everyone was present, the One Dish was pushed out from the kitchen to our table...
It is something like this.... Two persons need to carry it to the table....
Only one dish... for the eleven of us....
Soon everyone started to take pictures....
Not really kind of special.....
But it was not too bad....
Lobster Salad.....
Each one has her/his share....
One person's share is around RM65...
One of this too...
Sweet sauce....
I like this...
Peanut sauce...
Buttered fish....
This is just for decoration....
Fried chicken turned into two different dishes....
Wrapped with lettuce leaves.....
And there is one more dish which I didn't take...
Mihoon in fish soup...
And the not-to-be-missed dessert specially from East Ocean....
The bill came to RM790...
So now we have tried it....
What can I say....
But to Thank God each day...
And....
Wishing you a Very Blessed Birthday!

  1. Why not special? I think the One Dish is very special since it has a standing chicken if my eyes did not deceive me.

  3. Oh my!!!! That dish alone is enough for one whole dinner...or is it one dish with all the dishes combined, served at one go? Outstanding, the presentation, really very nice...but wouldn't the things be cold? Ok for the salad - love that Jade Dragon dish in which it was served. RM790, cheap! These days, a normal regular banquet here, at least RM500 per table already and not even nice.

Happy birthday to whoever whose birthday it was. Yours? Fernie's?

  5. Wow! Very unique and very luxurious too! I like it, so many varieties of food to eat, just like the starters at Chinese dinners, only on a much larger scale!
