Next Destination Cardiff In Wales

AFTER TWO NIGHTS IN OXFORD, we checked out and continued our journey to another country, Wales which is part of UK (I just got to know that recently only) Oh my Geography!

Our next destination is Cardiff and we spent three nights here in a modest hotel called Ibis!  A budget hotel and yet clean and comfortable, most important, walking distance to town.  Three nights cost around £200 or less but parking is £4-7 a day... for two nights we came back late and we had to park for £12 per night at another place.  Other than that, Cardiff is a nice place to visit....
Reminds me of Penang Bridge and toll is £6.60 one way ..
Our humble lodging for three nights...
Walking to town the Beer Brain in front of us.. Took this picture as a landmark..
At Frankie n Benny having our lunch...
We had our lunch at Frankie and Benny's at the mall. No choices for me here, but to my surprise, the spaghetti was fabulous with the meatballs, I was pretty satisfied!
After a fifteen minutes walk, we reached the shopping street...
Checking for directions to which mall....
Castle at the backpground...
We came here to wait for a friend....
She caught a giant pokemon at one of the shops...
At the Cardiff market...
The aroma of the Welsh cakes led us here...
29pence per piece....

We were told that we must try their Welsh cakes,
buttery and soft especially just freshly baked from the oven...
It was drizzling at the later part in the afternoon, the rain was soft so it didn't dampen our spirits and we continued to Walk around till nearly 6pm. Rested awhile at the hotel before our next itinerary ...
Cardiff Bay!

  2. I have always wanted to go to Wales, so have really enjoyed this tour. The meal looks American! Wow, what a great bakery! Looks like an old castle wall in the middle of the city!

  6. The cost of the Welsh cake is reasonable. I have never had freshly baked ones.

    Have a lovely time.
