Easy Solutions To Real Home Problems

It can be devastating when something goes wrong in the home. Your home is your resting place, your comfort zone. When something untoward occurs, it can really shake things up. And if you are unsure about what to do with those problems, then it is even more worrying.   There are some common issues which all homeowners are likely to experience at some point in their lives. Knowing what they are, and how to deal with them, can make a huge difference in the long run. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some easy solutions to some of those serious problems which occur in the home.

Flickering Lights

We have all seen this happen from time to time in different buildings. Chances are, it has happened at least once in your home too. A light flickering once is not necessarily anything to worry about. But if the lights in your home start to flicker on a regular basis, then you might need to get them checked out. In the worst case scenario, this could actually be a symptom of something pretty serious. Flickering lights can be a sign of loose connections in the electrical panel. This, in turn, will probably be causing power to arc - or jump - over the gaps. And that is a serious matter indeed. Arcing can very easily lead to fires, and we want to avoid that at all costs. So what can you do about this problem? There is a chance that you could tighten the connection yourself, but you probably won’t want to risk it. For most people, it will be far preferable to call in a professional electrician. With electrics, safer is always better.

Water Damage
This next common issue is something that can be caused by a huge variety of different circumstances. More often than not, water damage is the result of a single, small leak somewhere in the network of pipes. Of course, at other times it can be due to a larger incident, such as something going wrong with the central plumbing. Whatever the cause, there is no doubt that water damage can cause a huge amount of hassle in the home. If it gets anywhere near the electricals, it could even be deadly. If you have had any water damage issues in your home, you should look for professional water damage restoration immediately. The quicker you get it sorted, the better.

Ice Dams

Ice dams are significantly less common compared to the previous two issues. However, when they occur they are still a huge nuisance. As such, it is useful to know what you can do about them if they do happen in your home. Ice dams usually occur after a period of heavy snowfall, and they can cause quite a lot of damage if left unchecked. If your home develops ice dams, you should take care not to try and get on the roof to fix it yourself. In the worst case scenario, you might even end up falling through and hurting yourself. Instead, get the professionals in to do it for you.

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Phil's Fish Market And Eatery, Moss Landing

DAY TRIP TO MOSS LANDING...  I did not know what to expect since I had not been there before.  We took an hour plus drive to this seafood place, it is an open air restaurant whereby you can dine by the sea or inside.  We chose the latter, since it was quite windy in the open air.  With a baby kid, it is best to have some warmth inside the restaurant. Yes, there was already a queue by the time we reached there, it was actually between lunch and dinner and yet, patrons were ready to have their meal.  Though the queue looked long, we could get a place within 10 minutes or so.   Almost the same picture but someone was looking at me when I took these...  Almost reaching the finishing line to enter ... Clam Chowder to start off...  Cioppino... A combination of seafood... Mussels, prawns, crabs, clams...  Eat what the fishermen eat... Dip the bread in the sauce... Yes, I like this... Fried chicken chunks...  And I still prefer the Cioppino compared to this....  Baby enjoying his own food befo
