The Moh's Endless Hospitality In Aberdeen

REACHED ABERDEEN RIGHT ON TIME IN THE EVENING... So nice of Mr. Moh to fetch us from the airport and straight to his guesthouse for dinner!  The superb aroma of the food reached our nostrils even before we reached the kitchen.  Mary, as usual, had her hands full in the kitchen, she is a super efficient cook who needs no assistance... except carrying the dishes to the dinner hall which my girl gladly obliged.

This is Aberdeen Life!
Homecooked dishes upon arriving from the airport...
Fried chicken wings, mushrooms, salad, pork belly and hot soup!
Truly Thankful to the Mohs!!
What more could we ask for....

And again, the next evening we have the privilege to dine with them again... Invitations to dinner are always welcomed with a Big Yes!  It was our last night in Aberdeen before my girl and I flew back to Malaysia.  We had dinner with a few other friends as well and Mary cook her special dish!
Special Fried Chicken with Shrimp Paste...
"Har Cheong Kai" which was cooked to perfection!
Crispy coating with natural flavoring of the shrimp paste aka Sambal Belacan...
I told Mary that this is the best fried chicken I have eaten so far!
Each of us were served individually....
My girl looked in awe at her portion...
Just look at that....
a big piece of boneless chicken thigh, pork belly in special sauce, fried egg and cucumber...
Now I know why Aaron loves to go over for his meals!
hahahahaa...
As a mom, I am not worried at all....
Desserts after dinner....
And Mary's Rose Mooncakes!!
Now everyone knows why I love to go Aberdeen every year!!
LOL....

  1. Wow, that was a nice dinner. Mary has raised the bar in her rose mooncake. I have not seen that design. Did you pick any tips from her regarding the latter?

  3. It will be really hard for you to reciprocate when she and Steven comes home to Malaysia. It has been a while since they came back to Sibu, nobody around here now, I guess.
