Twice Wrongly Charged At Famous Dart, Taman Sutera, Johor

HOW DO I SPEND THE DAYS IN JOHOR?   Very easy... wake up late, take lunch, go marketing, walk around the little nest with a broom, prepare dinner, take dinner and then TV throughout the evening till bedtime.  Of course, I managed to squeeze in some blogging work during the day as well.  That is how I juggle my "chores" while I am here in Johor.  Other than that, no extra activities like gym or walking the dog.  My girl is not here otherwise go gym-ing every day, no joke!

Other than food, I do not know what else to post up during my stay here.  I am very thankful that my dear in-law takes me out daily for my first meal and we normally go for something heavy to fill up our tummies.  On this particular morning, she took me to a place called Famous Dart at the Taman Sutera ....
I ordered this bowl of fish noodles with koay teow....
With salted vegetables and fresh fish, the soup was to my liking...
Priced at RM13,90

My in-law ordered something simpler...
Noodles with a few slices of abalone strips... RM8.90
And as "sidekicks", we have these fish balls.... RM7.30
Our first meal of the day...
The portions are quite huge and I am surprised that I could finished them all regardless...
When the bill came, it was around RM30...
My SIL briefly went through the bill and realized that her bowl of noodles was not charged...
Called the lady over and she thanked us for pointing out her mistake...
When the separate bill came, it was RM13.90 instead of RM8.90...
Oh, another mistake on her part!
She apologised profusely for her second mistake...
I guess she must have lots on her mind on that day....
hhhmmmm....

  1. Huh?? Abalone noodles for RM8.90?? I thought the standard price for it is RM15 (Malaysian) to RM20 (Singaporean)... cheap!!

  2. Oh dear! How to do business when so poor at calculations? Like this place I went to - tomorrow's post but I did not mention it in my blog - RM11.00, RM3 + RM5 + RM1.50 + RM1.50...and I told the girl I had tosai and she added RM2.30 and I said it was tosai telur so she deleted the RM2.30 and added RM3.00 - not that she was so busy, there were a lot of customers or what. Terrible! I could have just paid RM11.00 and left!

  6. I prefer your fish noodle than the abalone noodle. Johor's price is higher than Ipoh's.

    2. Thank you but I am funny as I have no desire to retire. I wish that I could still work and be useful when I am over 70 years old like those in China and Japan. (if I could reach that age**)
