What To Do Whilst Waiting For Your Food To Come

As I’m a big fan of going out to restaurants, there are always a few times when I’m slightly ahead of my fellow eating companions. And so recently I’ve been devising a few ways that I can stay productive when I’m waiting to be sat down at the table. After all there’s nothing worse than having to wait a long time to eat that large bowl of dry curry chicken noodles!
A lot of the time I will take a book to pass the time, but recently I’ve started taking my smartphone which is packed full of great entertainment regarding film trailers, online games, and even some further restaurant ideas.

When I’m meeting friends for dinner, we often have a big meal before heading out to the movies. And I’m a massive fan of the IMDB app which is specially catered for smartphones and tablets and gives me an exhaustive list of all the upcoming cinematic attractions.

The great thing about this is that it allows me to switch over to the YouTube app so that I can check out all of the trailers for the movies and see whether it’s going to be a suitable film for the night’s viewing entertainment.

However, there are a few times when we’ll be a little more daring and follow up that sweet pear dessert with a suitably glamorous trip to the local casino.

Something about the chandeliers and bright lights of casinos always goes down particularly well after a lavish meal. And seeing as the Betway online gaming site allows you to to get a sign up bonus so that you can quickly and cheaply play their roulette and poker games, it’s provided a pretty good distraction whilst waiting for friends to turn up on a pre-casino meal!

There are also some great apps that can help you find out a little more about the evening’s meal too. I particularly like reading some Malaysian recipe ideas on the Cook Malay app so that I can find out which spices make each of the dishes so appetising. And the app is also good for explaining what some of the more mysterious items on the menu are too!

And then if I’m being particularly lazy and can’t face heading out on an evening, I simply fire up the Deliveroo app and enjoy great takeout food from real restaurants whilst playing some of those endlessly enjoyable casino games - all from the comfort of a smartphone!
